Dont need to break the bank to get a huge upgrade in our ability to play football for 90 mins.

The transfer window has been open for a couple of weeks now and its been obvious for a while that we are in dire need of a CM. Cant be hard to get a good cheap deal for a loanee. You would think letting a young talent get premier league experience/exposure would a kinda attractive for a foreign club.

We have also had plenty of enough time to bring in a backup/replacement. The need to bring in a CM has been obvious ever since Tonali got suspended.

Never again seeing players who cant run anymore playing the full 90min would be quite the consolation prize though.

Think he was great today. Ofcourse he could do better against the 3rd goal, but it wasnt a massive mistake.

His engine is broken, watching him jog back after Bruno lost the ball leaving 2 players open right infront of him was just sad.

Really annoying that we havent brought in a CM yet. Should have had a loanee ready the second the transfer window opened. FFP isnt an excuse, dont need to spend to much to get a player who can replace Longstaff today, atleast sub in for him.

Thats extremely harsh. Dont think he is ready to be starting either, atleast not alongside Longstaff. But he has had a couple of really excellent performances this season.

Atleast he can run and give the illusion of being an obstacle.

Talk about lack of options all you want, but a tired Longstaff is worthless.

If we bring in someone in this transfer window you really got to wonder why they didnt come sooner.

Dont want to see either of them go, if they are happy to get additional competition for their place. This season have shown that there is more than enough room for wingers with the amount of workrate they are required to do.

A big fee for Longstaff will never happen though.

Hopefully this will be the catalyst for a major turnaround second half of the season. Still oppurtunities to get something out of the league, not to mention the cup itself.

And its not a coincidence he looked much more energetic today.

Nah, i have called this shit happening early on.

I mean him being overreliant on and running certain players to the ground is one of, if not the main criticism he gets. Gordon may have been the best pick for every individual game we have had. But looking at the bigger picture we would have been better off if he would have gotten some rest.

Yeah, without his previous achievements here before this season I would have wanted him gone now. But the negatives from this season is nothing compared to what he has done for us past season(s).
