Personally think the fault lies more with Eddie being to little flexible about the players he wants in. I dont want us to overpay for the players he has set his sights on.

Well sure, but we probably cant afford to sign 4-5 elite players this summer. Which should be the minimum that we need to fill up the squad, especially now with Longstaff being gone.

If we actually had any that Eddie trusted to play(other than Miley), I would be perfectly fine with this.

Looking at our bench from most of our games last season, I think there are plenty of players who could improve our squad. We even had 2 goalkeepers on the bench a couple of times. With CL we are going to need more depth, cant just go after purple players imo.

Think that depends on how much he would want to go. Im pretty sure he is very happy here and i looking forward to the new season with his buddy Elanga. Really doubt that he would try to push through at transfer even if he was interested in joining Liverpool.

Lets be realistic, Isak wouldn't say no to Liverpool if they coughed up the money we demand. One of the most popular clubs in the world and the current champions.. Dont think he is the guy to push for it though, especially when things are going so well for him here.

Just dont see him leaving after we signed Elanga. But if he does, it will be a massive fee that will make us forget about PSR for a couple of seasons. No way we are selling for anything below £150m, no matter if Isak pushes for it or not.

Just when I thought he was out.. Unless we got other bids lined up for him I dont get this at all. We have grown past him as a starter and there are very few signs that he could be used as a sub.

We just have to take it. Low price for someone of his age and experience by all means, but there is a reason no bigger offers have come. Other teams see what most of us see and that is that he hasn't played decent for quite some time. Hopefully playing regular for them will bring him back to his best.

I didn't mean the specific players Sunderland bought, but general £20m players who would fill up our squad. Not sure need is the right word, but yeah I guess it could be improved by a couple £50m signings.

They certainly would improve our squad, which is what we need. Our first XI is among the very best.

Fuck that imo. If we are ever going to compete against our financial overlords we need to be ruthless in the transfer market. Got to get good value out of every one of our transfer, especially the expensive ones.

Looking at the transfer and contract fees we would have to pay to bring in Mbeumo, Elanga, Pedro etc. im fully behind the owners not going all out to get players in early. If Eddie wants players in early he should look at a broader set of players. Not just the top ones from average PL sides we know they will not let go of easily.

Really dont get the idea that Eddie would improve him that much. The thing he has most potential to improve is his shooting, and Eddie hasnt been that successfull in that area looking at our players.. Surely must be other players out there that Eddie can improve much more.
