And if this season ranks as 'underwhelming'... not sure my heart will cope with an overwhelming one. As for those tramps, either outcome is good. Get promoted? Great - weekly humiliation awaits you. Stay down? Great - three clubs with PL parachute payments plus Birmingham City are going to make life hard for you next season. See - we can apply that 'logic' too y'know.

Wild half of football that. Some lovely stuff, especially from Tonali, Barnes, Murphy… great resilience in the whole team. It’s paying dividends big time. Will probably adjust next half with the Villa game in mind, but hopefully not at the expense of a clean sheet. Amazing time to be a Mag, with the bonus that it could realistically get very much better very soon.
