Pope man, stop doing that shit!
-
Isak might sound like he's on helium in any post-match interviews.
-
Great move there, shame it didn't bear fruit.

3 mins plus about 6 stoppage? Scope for 2 more goals for us here.
-
Still don't understand how this is turning into a potential thrashing of a third-placed team.
-
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!
-
So this is where I turn from 'shit, we're gonna lose this' nerves to 'christ, can we hang on to this' nerves. Either way, still nerves.

Holes in yer pockets, ref?

So is this the return of the intense, into'em NUFC? Or more defensive comedy to come? Let's see...
-
Is that actually a goal to put us in the lead? From bloody Murphy?!! You just knew it!

YEEEESSSS MILEYYYYYY

'Hard watch' mode activated.

All of the possession, zero of the goals. Horrible defending. Said they'd score first. Now let's see what we're made of.

Good work from Willock there. Hope he's back to his best.

LET'S GO!!! Howay the lads, into them!

Newcastle United Vs. Nottingham Forest - 23/02/25 @ 14:00 (Live on Sky)
Billy Warthog replied to Dan's topic in Football
Think they'll score first. Then it just depends on which NUFC turn up. Hope the atmosphere doesn't go flat for long periods. I'm still reasonably confident of a positive result, but it'll probably be nervy and maybe a hard watch. NB - I'm shite at predictions, so there's always that. -
This type of performance does nothing to dissuade me from that nightmare scenario...

Shouldn't have bothered....!

Yeah, good call. 👍

I can't watch this game, and I've only got Merson's blatherings on telly, so I'm relying on you lot to keep me informed...!

One thought that I'm sort of clinging onto - the finals of 1998 and 1999 were led by two very different managers (Dalglish and Guillit). We've now got the same manager for two finals in close proximity, so hopefully the lessons learned will be more embedded this time. Whether that actually makes a difference remans to be seen.

That would have been an amazing goal.

2-0 Villa. Ange excuse book just caught fire.

Any of these at home would be nice: Millwall, Ipswich, PNE, Cardiff, Plymouth. Doncaster and Exeter too if they get through. I only say home tie as we do enough bloody travelling, but if we're away to any of these then that's also decent. Would not like Bournemouth, Fulham or Man City. Would fancy our chances against Villa/Spurs, Brighton and potentially Forest. Kind of indifferent to Palace, Wolves and Burnley. We could have a memorable season in the making if we play to our strengths. Shoot me later if it all goes wrong.
