  1. Which would suggest of course that Eales was pushing an open door with PIF if they were more comfortable with backing an employee than a fellow shareholder - it is as obvious as the nose on my face who has been leaking these stories to the press.
  2. It’s such a weird position to hold when you think of it - the glee that Keys has re this (and I’m not even saying he’s completely wrong). The problem is that Keys and Gray think that they’re in the football industry - but they’re not; they’re in the television industry (Keys in particular has never worked in football). And what they’re saying is the product that they sell is so broken that no club has any prospect of shaking anything up. ‘Our product is knackered, keep paying us’ isn’t a great sales pitch
  3. Agreed - he’s an excellent manager but I doubt he’s sending them out to play poorly as a masterplan
  4. It’s an incredible record - particularly given the parlous state we were in when he came in
  5. They looked it to me too on this occasion - though I think Howe is a much better coach
  6. That’s true re Kilcline, though the numbers on the books were around £3m investment. For that £3m, they took out a nine figure sum and got their construction firms to build our new stands. Nice work if you can get it.
  7. Barnes scored a cracker, he’s always dangerous. Tonali was a marked improvement on Longstaff when he came on (Longstaff had one of his off games).
  8. Which part? The stats are correct, and we were turgid from minute 15 to minute 75
  9. 34% possession, 71% pass accuracy, Spurs having more than double the number of shots - they pinned us in after the first 15 mins. We were utter shite from 15 mins until the breakaway goal
  10. Hall and Shepherd put in £3m of investment. That was it.
  11. For anyone who is interested in meaningless stats, this is our joint best three opening matches points haul since 95/96 - the only other time we had seven points after three games was when the king @Alan Pardew was the gaffer (11/12)
  12. Pope does his job in the first place and he doesn’t need to bat away the follow-up
  13. Incredibly harsh on BDB for me - thought he was better than Bruno, Longstaff, Isak in terms of performance - and Pope was as much at fault for the goal
  14. I can’t see Postecoglu lasting long tbh. He’s made Spurs even more Spurs-y than usual
  15. We’re not shite at all - we’re a good side with a good manager - but that was a shite performance. We rode our luck there.
  16. Fuck knows how we won that - I’m going to pin it down to Spurs being absolutely fucking useless; it took an unnecessary OG for them to even score. I love a thoroughly undeserved win, though
  17. For the first time in starting to worry a little about that. Hope this is just early season rust, but this is abysmal. We’re not at the races. Happily Spurs haven’t done much about it
