If it wasn't for the fitness concerns, the idea of losing Wilson should be anathema. He's my favourite 'traditional' NUFC no. 9 after Shearer. He is just too injury prone. If his fitness could be managed - and he accepts that he's second fiddle to Isak - then great; he should stay. But I don't have a great deal of faith in our sports science and physio team off the back of this season.

A quick glance at Spurs’ fixtures would tell anyone that 5th isn’t on the agenda, barring a miracle. Anything above 8th remains a good season. Nearly there now -
I miss Monty Magpie tbh. At least he didn’t give away daft corners

Canny half of football that -
We know how much it is - just over £30m + ticket sales Edit - and as nufcnick pointed out, it’s in this year’s accounts, not next year’s
-
Personally I hope the club does lots of a wheeling and a dealing this summer before the greater constraints of the new PSR rules kick in
-
At least LOST came to an end … We should be able to have a summer window a bit like last year’s. And if we actually manage to sell some players, we could spend a lot of money
-
It’s neither yes nor no. The constraints remain, though the worst of it has dropped off the books. The club will know what the FFP loss is for this season - revenue will be up by c.£50-60m, but also wages will have increased significantly plus the amortised Barnes, Tonali, Livramento and Hall fees will have been added to the £90m in transfer amortisation (though ASM’s sales will cover a chunk of that).
-
We ran a £70m loss on £250m income last year and we’ve added significantly more in wages and fees this season. Of course, some of those losses are deductible for FFP purposes, but increases in revenue don’t necessarily mean that there’s suddenly loads of money to spend. 21/22 dropping off will offer wiggle-room again though.

The football financial year runs 1st July - 30th June. Jan 22 is part of the 21/22 season accounts - from July it is the 22/23, 23/24 and 24/25 accounts which count. Then from 25/26 it’s the new PSR rules
-
The Jan 22 window doesn’t count this summer

Civil and structural engineers will need to do wonders - but the laws of physics don’t change. I’m still scratching my head as to how you meet the foundation requirements over the top of a Metro station.
-
They wouldn’t need to - my understanding from RTG is that if Saudi Arabia had taken over Sunderland, not one of them would attend another game. Because they have their morals.
-
No, I definitely wouldn’t - but I’m also aware of how childish I am in that regard. The difference is that for the Mackems their board would likely love the money that would come their way; but of course their fans would be in open revolt

It follows the Aussie FY perfectly - 1/7 to 30/6 The UK tax year starts 6/4 each year. This is the result of a change from the Julian to Gregorian calendars - 25/3 used to be New Year’s Day, and when the calendar changed they ran it through the standard 365 days to arrive in April. Boring, but true

There’s cameras in there, and more cameras can be installed. Ban people for acts of vandalism. It being the SOS isn’t exactly a good excuse
