How did Joelinton miss that? -

I’m seeing lots of comments that Dortmund are just better than us, but they must be extraordinary, given that they seem able to manipulate us into completely unforced passing errors -

Sorry, the defending by Lascelles and Hall was just comedically bad - lower league stuff. Several chances to clear their lines. -

I’m not sure that they are. We’re playing poorly - again. I’m also unconvinced that Howe’s ‘turn up on the day for European matches’ is the best preparation. -

Wrong way round -
Yes, I know that. That was my point. The previous poster’s post implied that the Fairs Cup wasn’t equal. Also: demote/ˌdiːˈməʊt/verbpast tense: demoted; past participle: demoted move (someone) to a lower position or rank, usually as a punishment

Reckon we probably need to win to finish top two, given PSG away follows this one. And fuck it, I’m going to predict exactly that. 2-1 to NUFC. -
All of our European matches other than Inter Toto ones were at the same or a higher level than their Cup Winners Cup games. Not sure when the Fairs Cup got demoted.

Chelsea are fucking shite mind. Just watched the extended highlights. Spurs’ high line basically gifted them the goals
-
He’s always been disarmingly honest and naturally engaging. If he doesn’t change, then he will still be liked.
-
Clean sheets in both games too
-
Yep. And just think, given English football’s status and standing, that means he’s one of the best IN THE WORLD* *citation required

No-one in football takes pundits and journalists seriously, and even fewer take football hipsters seriously. I doubt Bournemouth’s squad are listening to a bunch of broadsheet hacks yammering on pretentiously about football.
-
That team would be a solid PL outfit tbf.
-
I fucking HATE the whistles before the end mind. Seeing a old man doing it somehow pissed me off even more They’ve been doing it for decades now, and it needs knocking on the head. I can’t see how it does anything but make the players and crowd anxious.
-
I’d have Watkins and Wilson in there tbf - once Toney returns it’ll be a real fight for a Euros place. Kane is a given, of course.

Newcastle United 1-0 Arsenal (04/11/23) - Post match reaction from p. 46

I like being hated by Arsenal and Liverpool and Man Utd, etc etc. You only get like this about rivals. They’re taking us seriously - and so they should. -
I honestly don’t give two shites about the smoggies mind. Have never looked for their results. It would be good for them to have a proper rivalry - I’m sure the Mackems and them will be very happy together
-
There are other examples of a similar nature - Aston Villa’s main rivals used to be West Brom (and vice versa), but once WBA started spending long spells in the lower leagues they became rivals with Wolves instead (who also had spent most of their history in the top flight until relatively recently - mid-70s for WBA, early 80s for Wolves). It does happen
-
Yep, you’re absolutely right - but the two clubs have no links beyond being in the same league. I’m willing to bet the PL will go down the ‘related party’ line - I’d also bet that this route is either closed or made tougher before January

Again, it’s an international feed that he speaks on, but he usually states that he’s spoken to directly. Remember that the international feed comes direct from the Premier League itself - he’s not talking on Sky - hence why his comments on are the official PL website. Unless of course the PL is looking to contradict and lie about the officials it uses, like. -

Ok - I’ll have to take your word for it. I get the international broadcast, and they’ve said it on there that we can see the same as they’re seeing; but that may not be true -

We get to see the VAR officials playing with the feed. Rewinding it etc.
