LCR4: Manchester United vs. Newcastle United - 01/11/23 @ 20:15 (Sky Sports)

This is the first time I’ve been unhappy with our ties this season. Who wants to qualify for the CL and play in a group of lesser lights? Big boys every time - I want the glamour games. -

Yes, but the probability after 11 home cup ties in a row is 50%. There is no fixing going on. -

Foden is a quality player but he’s a cheating bastard

Gillespie, Burn, Dummett, Hall, Miley, Longstaff, Anderson, Murphy … we’re not far from being able to field an XI tbf

Hearing 'Aztec Gold' being played at the start always gets me a bit misty-eyed. I used to make it my ring tone during WCs ...

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
TheBrownBottle replied to joeyt's topic in Football
It's not meant as a criticism - I think Anderson is a very talented player, and hopefully will be a part of the first team squad from years to come. But he isn't playing 4th tier defenders at the moment - he needs to be (and is) far more careful re taking risks. -

Getting the ball has nowt to do with it being a foul or not. It never has.

Woodgate is my generation’s Tony Green (ask your granddad, young’uns). Anyone who didn’t see him looks at the number of games he played and raises an eyebrow. Those who did see him, know.

He reminds me of Vidic more than anyone else I’ve seen. Just oozes competence and class.
