  1. Cracking strike for the opener. Desperately want to win this after days of listening to smug predictions at work, and the tiresome arrogance of some of the shite I heard from punters on the train off to Homebush for the game tonight. I did enjoy some of the crowd counting down to half time, clearly thinking it works like rugby league and the hooter was about to blow on 45 mins
  2. I don’t like this - at all - but I’ve arrived at a point of weary acceptance. This is going to be a thing as long as PIF own the club.
  3. Wait until he comes on as a sub. There is precedent. https://www.sportbible.com/football/president-of-suriname-played-for-the-football-team-he-owns-20210922
  4. That’s a pretty sensible approach for me. I can accept that Greggs does reach places that Milligans can’t. But for their bread & butter baked products, Greggs is the inferior. These things are important
  5. We likely don’t have the budget to bring in the players at the top of those lists.
  6. We’re playing for snookers with FFP atm. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arsenal & Chelsea deliberately wasted our time dangling potential loans.
  7. Am I the only Geordie who thinks that Greggs is absolute shite - heartburn in a roll. Milligans was always the superior Newcastle bakery. The UK doesn’t know what it missed.
  8. Yeah, that fucking Newcastle place which gives the world nowt. Says the bloke who’s handle (Norbert Colon) is taken from a Viz character. Where is Viz from, again?
  9. In terms of Europe, a ban from UEFA competitions. Domestic - fines, transfer embargos, points deductions, relegation …
  10. Fuck me that’s even worse - I’ve got them mixed up then He’s going nowhere fast, then …
  11. He’s on £42k per week for another two years. He’s unlikely to earn that elsewhere - he doesn’t strike me as someone arsed about playtime.
  12. Some finish that. Turgid first 80 mins, epic last 10 (+7). Spain deserved it for me - but Sweden are cursed in semis.
  13. I love how it only takes one season to convert a sizeable chunk of Durham to being B&W. They weren’t before that; oh no, of course not. They were R&W. But they’ll be R&W again once it all falls apart. You’ll see.
  14. Kilcline is the right answer for me - even though he was at the club 18 months, he only really played for the first four or five of that. Without Killer, we go down to Division Three and potentially no longer exist.
  15. I have to say I find links between us and one of the Sky Six’s players the least exciting of all.
  16. A RCB makes the most sense to me. Especially a bloody quick one.
  17. No, I hate the entire week before the game. Can’t sleep the night before. Hate it.
  18. No, I don’t think they would take the approach of trying to do it, nor do I think they’d care on a personal level re Newcastle vs Sunderland. But the intensity of the fixture would absolutely get to them once it started - and useless knackers mistiming challenges and leaving boots in likely would happen. Bollocks to them - I’m at a loss as to why we’d even need to play them. Not one of my favourite games involved them. If we beat them 10-0 it still wouldn’t figure.
  19. Aye, the Pardew teams were weak as piss in terms of intensity. The likes of Joelinton would love that atmosphere. I just feel zero compulsion to play the cunts. None whatsoever. I’ve seen us beat them plenty of times.
  20. First year we qualified for the ‘Champions League’ - by finishing second - was also a season where they were relegated by finishing second bottom. We scraped a late Alan Shearer equaliser for a 1-1 at SJP. Don’t get me wrong, I think the current side beats them nine times out of ten. But the idea that we’re guaranteed x or y result by a huge score line is simply not the case. But I’d still be more concerned by a useless sack of shite like O’Nien putting Bruno out for the season.
  21. You'd think we went out of the cup to third division sides two years in a row the way some of us go on ...
  22. His form dipped towards the end of last season, but I still think Son is the better player on the left of all those options. Kane is obviously better than Wilson - and I think Isak is going to be world class, so whether I’d swap those two is a bit trickier.
