The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
BonesJones replied to Rich's topic in Football
I wanted Europe, in any form personally. So shit losing out on it because of that lot aswell, especially with how well we actually did all things considered our squad was ripped to the bare bones almost. However my optimistic outlook is that we challenge for top four next season and get it, with a decent summer and the main players staying I think we could even be part of the title conversation for a decent period. Howe did an alright job for me, can't slate him with anything to bad really. Some cracking moments, some shit. Onwards and upwards! -
Remember when we went really far in Europe and signed Bruno and Isak? Good times.
-
My favourite type of content that isn't a new signing.

I don't know all that much about the Georgian tbh, but the hype around him, his age, his height, his potential, are probably why I'd prefer him. Plus Ramsdale comes across as a bit of a pillock, along with the whole dad thing. If Pope can stay injury free then we're not in a rush to get a new GK, big risk though as if not we have to rely on Dubravka, say until the January window, it's going to hurt us badly. I just feel that if we're going to invest in a GK make it a young one with world class potential and not a guy that people have been taking the piss out of in our own league, providing a financial boost to a team were hunting down. Fuck em.

Losing Pope for Ramsdale, no thanks Losing Pope for Mamardashvili, yes please.

Bit cheeky working two jobs. Does Yasir know about this?

Finding it hard to choose which position I would sacrifice when trying to be realistic FFP wise. I want a starting RW, backup ST to Isak, starting GK + Kelly and Tosin. Those seem to be the areas to improve, can't see it all happening though. Not a clue what I'd leave for another window.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle United: 15/5/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Can't hear myself think over the sound of these United fans. -
Crazy how much it would transform us getting a keeper like that, don't think some people quite realise. Pressing us would be much harder with almost an extra outfield player, that can also distribute well for our quick transitions. Probably seems a waste to some as Pope is quality and might not seem an area with any rush to improve but it would be huge for us imo. Trippier/Bruno/Isak levels in terms of a boost.

Thought I'd stick it here as Longstaff is involved. Funny how they all choose to pick us first.
-
Teams/players are most vulnerable soon after conceding, and our style of trying to win the ball back high up the pitch feeds in to it.

Flag of Eritrea for me please.

Was it the away game that we also got the record for most different scorers in a game? -

Did I hear 'the most goals scored against the same team in a Premier League season' from the commentators? -
