Who were the other CB's that were used as fullbacks?

Newcastle United 4-4 Luton Town (03/02/24) | Reaction: pg40

I get that Burn had some MOTM performances, but Livramento had some borderline world class performances, don't know how he lost his place. -
When I saw this topic bumped I did briefly shit myself.

Yeh I get that regarding pitch size, but goal size wouldn't be that much of an issue. I mean investing all this money into the women's game, but not providing at least an appropriate goal size is kinda shitty. We wouldn't make little kids kick around of full size ball and play in huge goals from day one. Think the changing the goal size alone would be a big positive, just based on the average size woman.
-
Get some tall Dutch lass in the net, it would be a cheat code. Do they play in regular size goals? Why the fuck if so? The amount of goals I've seen in the women's game that the GK couldn't reach even if they were stood right in front of it, or they get lobbed from distance quite often.

Is he actually the guy making the decisions? I can't see it.

Would suck to sell him because his story is not to dissimilar to the club in terms of the rise from shitness to quality. In the role required of him he's a bully, so can't really complain, I don't think there's massive pressure on him to score or assist. His ability when fit to win second balls, I'd guess has been one of the top stats wise. Which works well with our pressing game (when we're not knackered), as there's lot of second balls to be won. He's great at covering for Burn when defending which frees Gordon up more as an outlet. Has weaknesses obviously but we would lose some extremely effective strengths for our system, and finding a player to replace him that can pass and shoot considerably better without splashing huge money is not easy.

On the shitter, reading my 'on this day' book. Saturday 28th January 1956 Goals galore and controversy aplenty as Newcastle continue their defence of the FA Cup with a 5 - 4 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage. The occasion is given added spice by the appearance of ex-Newcastle manager Duggie Livingstone, now in charge of Fulham. A good Fulham goal is disallowed, and a shoulder charge by Vic Keeble is controversially allowed to stand when it looks like a foul on the keeper, but Newcastle win through in the end. The goals are scored by Keeble (Two), Jackie Millburn, Bob Stokoe and Tommy Casey.

Reading posts that are written as if they're facts and not just opinions is so painful!

Well explained. Think I just want us to exploit everything before the rules change, simply because that's what others have done before us and for a far greater benefit than anything we can currently get away with. Wish there was something we could do to take advantage of the Saudi connection, that's some how within the rules. Ahhhh why the fuck are we having to discuss bollocks like this whilst also having owners with $600 billion more than the closest club. I don't want the rich club to be able just go nuts and destroy the game more than it is, but this is a joke. A club hit by I assume one of the worst injury lists for the first half season, is unable to buy new players without first getting rid of player x, to then have the risk that you don't end up getting player y, leaving you even worse off. Make it make sense.

That was my first thought, and I get that but how hard is it to sort out? tbf I haven't got a clue myself, just assumed it would be talking to a bunch of companies, do you want to sponsor us, bit of paperwork and some signatures, bish bash bosh.
-
Well like that Dr Cinik sponsor was announced, wouldn't others be also? Can't leave toilet paper sponsor man out but let hair transplant man get all the fame.
-
One thing I haven't got my head around is if FMV only applies to sponsorship over £1m per season, then why haven't we exploited the shit out of that? Like the whole man u thing that gets mentioned often, with all their random sponsors. If theres not a rule against it, I just don't see why we don't just get 20 legit Saudi companies to all sponsor us for some random crap at £1m per season. Or have I got it all wrong? Only Man Utd can justify tractor sponsorship because a poll showed more farmers support man u than any other club?

I like this transfer! Direct replacement at RW or a new midfielder though?

British Blonde Chaps should be ok though right?
