Remains the case that its far easier and far more regular to get to Newcastle. Last time I was over there I had to get a bus to Shiney Row and the X1 to Newcastle from there to Washington and that was from Park Lane. Newcastle to Washington is half an hour on the X1 (every 10-15') and prior to that was 194/294's every 10' transfare to Heworth and a 189 through the estates to Newcastle. Even the old away game clipper went through Washington from Newcastle. All testament to what a mackem fortress it is and has been obviously.

Used to work of Drum Industrial Estate, that's the dividing line I think as it caused chaos on the sat navs trying to find us with the DH postcode. The roads leading to it must be in Gateshead and the premises themselves tipping into Durham.

You might tend to think that Arsenal, pretty football and all that, weren't like that under Wenger but when we played them in top of the table matches wow. Slyly kicking the ball away with an extra tap, feigning injury or tying up laces before set-plays (Robert got senf off for playing on after they kept doing it) and players you wouldn't expect like Bergkamp were dirty as fuck. They all said and we accepted it and hoped to overcome it anyway, that we were too nice as the Entertainers by comparison. Keegan made Gillespie go and apologise to the referee for diving at Blackburn and it was a great dive. Ferguson schooled him how to do it and encouraged that stuff.

Maybe its instinctively looking for something to worry about but at times I do worry about burn out for the manager as much as the players, so have come to see a virtue in the break. He's definitely earned it, though probably would rather just keep on going.

Nobody that was there thinks that. Potter, the commentators (including one Sunderland fan) so must have been the TV.

Thread about Graham Potter and how bad he is launched at 7.30. Yeah, that must it, 17 bad managers. There's just no other explanation other the reality.

Luck of the draw in the calender year of 2022 to not play a good team in the worlds top league.

The new Kilcline. Got to give him credit like especially for a modern day player.

That's the Leeds win after the Arsenal win under Sir Bobby. Champions League challenge is definitely on. Ffs we'll strengthen in January too.
-
Its not. Doesn't sound like it and the commentators have reiterated that's its good a dozen times already.

The 6-6 with Tranmere taught me not to do that.

Leicester well and truly have turned the corner. Not just the wins but clean-sheets after conceding goals all over the place.

Kicking in now.

Aye. Two new managers at the three teams below them and Frankie boy's done enough not to be getting bumped during the World Cup
-
Treat it like were still underdogs to counter their having not won for a while. I'd fancy it more if that weren't the case. A win would feel like winning at Leeds under Sir Bobby and bolting it on to winning at Arsenal days earlier and going top.

Yeah, got to be fair, he was as hot as anyone for a couple years in the top division, two years prior to that at a lower level. Went off the boil massively after the constant projectiles to Quinn game plan ended. Had no problem saying so at the time, unlike the rest of his team he was a good player, its just they had to go too far and compare him to Shearer where I had to be hard but fair about him.
