Moved up to level 7 standing from Leazes west, 3 of my mates are up there from old family enclosure days, so means we are together. Hopefully atmosphere will be improved, also I'm suffering with bad back these days, standing is actually better so looking forward to not being in pain for 90 mins lol. I didn't bother asking if strawberry corner has seats as presumed if any they would of went yesterday. Did anyone else move?

I think fans would of been happy but reality is Europe was easy to qualify for this year, Brighton finished with 53 points newly promoted Sunderland also qualified, we have to get Europa league this year.
-
I don't think they struggle, I think their recruitment is very good so they'll add enough to be fine, even if that's 13th/14th.
-
Hopefully we get a really good centre half in!
-
Nah we'll play him and we should imo. Reality is we finished 12th in the league so a lot of players Hall, Tino, Bruno, Tonali won't commit long term, reality of football is people won't commit to a team if they think they can do better.
-
Howe didn't play him as he knew he was off in summer, he certainly didn't sack it out. In fairness we should of played him as we'd of had better chance of European football looking at games like Forest and Fulham.
-
Best of luck to him, good servant to the club. Unliked by quite a few fans which I find bizarre. I actually think he'll do well in La Liga, think him being direct will cause problems for teams.

It's not red flag, they maybe can't agree a contract etc. Managers always leave when theor stocks high TBF and he can get a better job, no different to players in that sense, if he does go to AC Milan from Bournemouth it's probably one of the biggest step ups a manager will ever make.

What's Gordon done like? He hasn't done anything disrespectful.
-
Hope we get the deal done early and already have a short list. Also don't have any bad feelings towards Gordon and wish him all the best l, playing for Barcelona is some achievement. A lot of fans don't like him but reality is we are a worse team without him.

Reliving my youth, some great days up there, Cardiff and Sunderland to name a few, had a bit more hair back then mind
-
Just seen email re seat moves, couldn't get an appointment for Monday but booked telephone appointment for Tuesday morning, I'm happy to move to level 7 if get the chance but probs be gone by then. Anyone else thinking of moving?

Trouble is the league wasn't great this year, Sunderland getting Europa league with 54 points proves that, we missed out in Europe 2 years back with 60 points. My biggest worry our run of fixtures should of been easy enough to get European football. Even if we had beaten forest we would of went to final day knowing win would get Europe. Next season will be a lot harder than this year.
-
In fairness I'm always critical of atmosphere but first half is as loud as I can remember at modern St James park at times and it was noon on a sunday. The players went into their shells and didn't fight, my guess if they did we'd be talking about how good it was still. There wasn't one crunching tackle from any of ours players.

Aye and people on here were happy for them to be on Europe if Spurs went down... absolutely mind boggling
-
One thing Eddie has to do is be ruthless this summer, pope, Murphy Willock all good servants but have to moved on. Bournemouth and Sunderland ha e proved this "you can't upset the balance of a team is nonsense".
-
People need take to accept it, Sunderland were far better than us this year, beat us twice and comfortably finished above us after being outside the league for 10 years. There's no way of dressing it up.
-
One thing I'll say which pains me but them players don't half play for the shirt, they got battered by Forest but didn't shy away and improved for their remaining games.
-
Getting into Europe this year was easy let's be honest..53 points, last year Palace finished 12th with 53 points. Also football is results driven, saying we could of finished 7th,8th or 9th..we didnt.
-
So basically allow what's happened to Spurs to us? This mentality needs to shift massively, we have just seen Sunderland qualify for the Europa League in 7th place yet fans seem happy to accept bottom half of the table. There's no excuses for us to have Europe really next season now, no busy fixture list, plenty time to prepare etc.
-
Was at the game yesterday so had time to reflect on this season. I love Eddie, he's my favourite Newcastle Manager but I massively worry he's lost the dressing room, and unfortunately once that happens its hard to get it back. I think you can see far less togetherness with the team this year, yesterday when we went a goal down the reaction was none existent. I also think if Howe is to stay he has to be ruthless, Murphy, Willock, Pope etc all need moving on. Yesterday there was absolutely no need to bring Murphy in. Botman shouldn't of been given a new contact but he was. The Europa League wasn't a tough ask, pains me to say it but Sunderland deserved to be there, but 54 points to get there shows how poor we have been. Since the international break we have been really poor, we beat a relegated side and beat Brighton who finished 9th.
-
I know people saying we were only 5 points off Europa Conference or we played 58 games etc, we finished below Brighton Bournemouth Fulham and Brentford and Sunderland who did the double over us, they also qualified for Europa League. We lost 17 games. Eddie is my favourite manager and an absolute class act but I think if we want success our mentality has to change with it.
-
Sunderland qualified for the Europa League with 54 points, a team who spent 10 years outside the premier League,55 points would of finished 12th last season. I don't get your point.
-
Just left the game and massive disagree, we were 14th in the league when we played Barcelona, what was actually in our hands? we weren't in form. 58 games isn't and can't be used as excuse, that's what happens when you qualify for Europe. We got beat twice by our rivals who went on to qualify for Europa League after 10 years away from the league, that's just the reality.
-
Absolutely love Pep, came over to the away end in league cup semi final and clapped away end for a good minute and got a good reception from us. Always spoke highly of the club and when we beat them at home earlier this season he came out and praised us, they should of had a pen if memory serves me right but he focused on our performance.
