  1. Exactly that, people keep saying we are only 6 points off Chelsea, We've lost our last 3 games to bottom half opposition with Arsenal up next...
  2. The worst thing today was we set up and produced a carbon copy of the Palace performance. I love Eddie and will always be my favourite manager for winning a trophy but I think the tine has come where he deserves a send out off and a rebuild, I would hate it to end ugly, I'd love him to get a final game where fans could give him a send off. Today it looked like the players are not playing for him which is wrong but that's football for you I guess
  3. Howe is my favourite Newcastle manager for winning us a trophy, I'll always love him but seriously why do you keep saying he will go on to bigger and better things? We are 14th after spending £250m in the summer, not sure why you think Liverpool or Arsenal are coming in for him honestly.
  4. Just said to me mate there in a way our season would of been a lot better if Villa won at Old Trafford on final day, might of had another final to play for and a lot less intense games along the way.
  5. Football isn't about ifs and buts, its about results and we got beat by a weakened palace, if that theory is right they hit the bar and had better chances? My point is though I'm backing Eddie to get us into the summer and rebuild but people expressing how they concerned about our form aren't fickle or entitled.
  6. In fairness Sven Botman did the same, and his performances have been worse than Gordon's
  7. Regardless if that was Gordon in same position and played for England a few days later he would of got a load of stick. Again with Tonali his agent comes out touting a move on a few occasions mentioning Man City etc yet and one article and Gordon and it sparks uproar. I like Tonali and obviously want him to stay but no one can't deny that Gordon seems to get far more stick than other players.
  8. It does make me laugh with our fans, Tonali pulls out of the Sunderland game not much uproar, Gordon doesn't celebrate much v Liverpool and there's more fans causing noise. It's been a bad season but only Hall and Bruno have had a better season, I know that's because we have been poor.

    Yoane Wissa

He's started 3 or 4 games in the league for us and now he's wrote off as not good enough. Similar to Woldemade now just branded as "not a striker" There has to of been a big bust up as he scored 19 for Brentford yet we are favouring Osula. Eddie but he's got to try and get them to in the team somehow as their stock will just fall more.
  10. I don't get how there is little indication that we can't sign a good or better player, looking beyond last summer we made some solid signings. Let's be honest as much as Paul Mitchell gets slagged off he had a track record of signing some players for small fees that then sold for good money, even at Leipzig he signed Cunha, Konate, and Laimer who now plays for Bayern to name a few. Who knows what happened there but was it naive to move him on until after the summer? It just seems there's this narrative that we can't sign good players after the summer, but I think lessons will be learned from that transfer window.
  11. Woltemade is still our top scorer in the league and hasn't played up top for months? And we chased Wissa for months and overpaid for him to sit on bench. We aren't going to be able to offload them in summer so why not give them some minutes together or one of them up top, Woltemade is a good player I think it will come for him.
  12. We should still be getting a far better tune out of Woltemade and Wissa, one got 17 goals last season and the other 20 and they both sat on the bench.
  13. People are getting behind him, I love Eddie but some people seem to think anyone worried or showing concerns about being 14th in the league is this fickle, post takeover fan etc. The response after the Sunderland game was a defeat to a 2nd string Palace side who only won 1 home league game in 10. You can still be rooting for Eddie but worried about that performance.
  14. What is your argument that Robson was backed more than Howe? I love Eddie but this narrative that he hasn't been backed by the owners is daft really, having £250m to spend in the summer is being backed, the Isak situation wasn't ideal but we still had funds to sign players to improve the squad, I think the biggest issue was we chased premier league players for the majority and your never attracting players over man utd and Liverpool, then late on we had to try and raid Europe.
  15. I still think it comes down to the last 6 games before the owners decide on what happens in the summer. We haven't got a hard run it at all,, bar Arsenal we have 3 home games and should be looking at a minimum of 7 ideally 9 points from. If we pick up 10 or more points and show Improvements I think they'll be happy, on the flip if we don't pick up up many points they might have a different approach given we have only picked up 13 since January which is less than Forest and West Ham so pretty much relagation form.
  16. I'm not disputing that and I'm not even wanting Eddie Howe out but I'm just saying I think he's not a flavour of the month and a decent manager
  17. Silly comment, Eddie got Bournemouth relegated but done a great job with us. I'm not saying I want him if Howe leaves but Howe at Newcastle means that assumption can also work.
  18. I get your point on Poch but don't think it's best example, after Poch left they finished in Europe the following 3 seasons, they also won the Europa League last year, their issue has been more at board level tbf which was what happened between Poch and Levy.
  19. No I'm just pointing out that he won a trophy when someone said they would go for a proven trophy winning manager like Howe. Liverpool will go for Alonso surely.
  20. Slot is trophy winning manager, he won the Premier League in his first season? I think they might keep him on I. Summer.
  21. I 100% agree but I think this season would make them look at other options given our form and league position.
  22. I love Eddie but take your Newcastle hats off, if Arne Slot was available you wouldn't want him at Newcastle so I don't get why you think Liverpool would want Howe. Let's be honest Liverpool will be after Alonso and Arsenal would be after Fabragas if they wanted a change.

    Yoane Wissa

Aye the shirt swap wasn't a good look but what was the point in putting him on in 95th minute, we chased him in the summer, overpaid for him and now don't give him any game time.

    Yoane Wissa

In fairness to Wissa though I never get him coming on with 2 mins v Sunderland and 1 min v Palace. He's getting loads of stick but I still think he deserves a run or more minutes.
  25. I'm getting a bit bored of this making out like we are entitled, just an idea of this season's results and reactions of fans: 1. Arsenal lose top of league and some boos and talks of Arteta goes in summer if they don't win the league. 2. Brighton booed off after losing to Palace and talks of a new manager needed by their fan base. 3. Thomas Frank sacked 4. Everton fans making lot of noise at Christmas that Moyes should be gone following poor home results. 5. Palace fans with a banner against their Manager who won them their first major honours. 6. Sunderland fans questioning their manager who got them back in top flight after 10 years absent and wanted him moved off if lost at st James park. But we are entitled as fans are worried as we sat 14th in table after getting beat by a 2nd string Palace side with no reaction following a derby day defeat. I love Eddie Howe and the fans should get behind the team for remainder of the seaon but you can't call fans entitled/bed wetters for being unhappy with this season, we are 4 points behind Sunderland who took 6 points off us..
