We are that desperate the players loaned in do not even have to improve our starting eleven, they only need to be people that Howe has faith in that can come off the bench and do a job. Don't get me wrong, I would like a better standard but we are in danger of this being more than a blip.

Agree about him offering us flexibility and he can play either in a midfield pairing or slip in to any of the midfield roles if we don’t change formation. From the video below it looks like he would help create a lot of breakaway opportunities for the likes of Isak and Gordon with how he breaks up play and springs the counter attack.

I don’t know why we don’t mould him in to the defensive midfielder we are crying out for. He played centre midfield until he broke in to Chelsea’s first team and has also played as a centre back, he has some great distribution on the ball so no reason why he shouldn’t be able to.

Having players run themselves to the point of exhaustion, when you don’t have the confidence in anyone on your subs bench is pretty appalling tactics for anyone to still persevere with.

We were played off the park for the first half hour or so, we then scored with some individual brilliance from both Bruno and Isak which lifted our morale, we then pushed them and got another and held our own up until half time, before coming out in the second half and was second best the whole 45 minutes. Howe didn’t make any changes when we picked up in the first half, as I said the morale was lifted for the team and crowd by some individual brilliance. His tactics in the second half were dreadful.

I didn’t say that though, you know that too but want to continue with the contrary opinion rather than admitting that having the ability to attract and sign better players plays an important part in the long term success of a football club.

I am not saying the right manager isn’t important; however, having more money so that you can sign better players by paying bigger wages also plays a pretty big part in the equation. They are not seen as the big six because they have a really good knack of appointing managers, in fact some have had some poor managers but have still qualified for the Champions League.
