  1. Then we try to come to a settlement with him regarding a percentage of the remaining wages on his contract.
  2. If we don’t have any money and we wanted a cheap third choice striker we should have offered Southampton Ryan Fraser permanently in exchange for Che Adams, who is out of contract in the summer and would suite our style of play with his pressing and ability to drop deep to link up play. We could even make money on him if we were to sell him in a year or so. I know he’s not the quality we want going forward but as a short term third choice striker it would be better than moving Gordon out of position.
  3. What happened to the other guy playing in Germany with the low buy out clause?
  4. We should go in the other direction, ask that FFP include any costs involving stadium and training ground refurbishment as if the purpose of it is to protect clubs from going bankrupt, then all financial costs should be involved.
  5. FFP isn’t a straight £105 million loss over 3 years by the way, it is a £15 million loss plus an extra £90 million in equity investment by the owners. If an owner hasn’t put anything in then a club is only allowed to lose £15 million over the previous 3 years.
  6. I think you can do deals outside of the transfer window, it’s the registration that won’t go over outside. It is why they made a big deal about Chelsea needing to sell before July 1st last year.
  7. Both are on par with what we currently have, so it looks like we are going for depth rather than looking for improvement. Onana has the potential to be a starting eleven player when everyone is fit eventually.
  8. I would sell them Wilson on the condition they sell us Madueke as a replacement for Almiron.
  9. I wouldn’t be surprised if Miggy or Wilson goes, with the money freeing up two or three permanent transfers in the late teens/early twenties category to boost the squad. I don’t think the club thinks no new players in and no player sales is the desired outcome by the time the window closes.
  10. Barnes and Anderson down the left and Gordon and Murphy down the right until the summer.

I think Howe does want him, just not at the price agreed.
  14. I would prefer an attacking midfielder with pace to play alongside Bruno and Longstaff/Miley rather than a defensive midfielder, which would mean an even more negative midfield.
  15. If it was just in case you would expect him on the bench as a minimum.
  16. I thought he was like an inferior version of Conor Gallagher based off his time in the Premier League. Maybe he has found some consistency in his performances but it is a big step up from the Championship. That or he’s a late bloomer.
  17. Gibbs-White has just come on for Forest.
  18. It is the strategy Liverpool have used over recent years.

    Joelinton

I like Big Joe and he does come across as a genuinely nice guy, he isn’t someone that we would struggle to replace though in terms of ability.
  20. Hojbjerg or Billing would be decent stop gaps for the rest of the season. The club only have themselves to blame for the fans expectations every window, they leak to the press every window about FFP and tight budgets but still pull something out of the bag, so it is now expected. The Instagram stuff recently isn’t helping with expectations.
  21. Any sort of plan in business is fluid and likely to change, dependent on circumstances.
  22. Onana is better now than Gordon when we bought him, so you can’t blame Everton for looking at £50 million plus for him. I think his wages might be a sticking point, I’m not sure what he earns at Everton but it was the reason he didn’t join West Ham.
  23. That is how sell on clauses usually work, the Athletic article they take it from say it will be on any profits.
