  2. I think you are missing my point there my good sir.
  3. 16 my good man. Madrid paid above the reported release clause.
  4. Yeah, I get what you mean. Last season in the EPL, Murphy had 7 assists and 3 goals in 21 games. That means he was involved in a goal every 2 games. So, I don't think the stats support your argument. I agree that he could be upgraded, but saying Miniteh is ahead of him is a bit of a stretch. Even if we didn't sell Miniteh, I'd still want the club to buy a starting right winger.
  5. He's good, but he's still raw. And the real deal? Nah, not yet for me. The board was smart to use his stats to get a good transfer fee, but he's not worth 35 million at his current level. Arda Güler went for 30 million euros , and he's far a better player. The 40 million from Lyon puts him in the same category as Vinicius Junior, but he's nowhere near that level. I'm still not sure about him. But I hope he does well.
  6. Kaka give the guy at least 10 games before we start saying stuff like that. He's got potential, but he's still super raw.
  7. Ridiculous highline that, I don't understand why teams play like this.

Yeah, I agree, especially if we get into Europe.

These professionals, who have led us from 20th to 4th in a season and a half and a cup final, have also brought in players like Isak, Gordon, Bruno, and others. They have significantly improved our financial situation, and the club is now worth over a billion. I don't think the naysayers/minteh fan boys win that argument really. What these guys have done since they have come in, is quite astonishing really. Selling Minteh does not change my view of those running the club. They have established a high level of trust and credibility with me.

I respectfully disagree, Guehi is a top six player, unfortunately minteh is not there yet.

If we fail to meet the aspirations of our star players, they will likely depart regardless of whether we invest 70 million in Guehi or not.
  13. It appears that we have reached a stalemate in our discussion, and the most sensible course of action would be to acknowledge our differences and agree to disagree. While further discourse is possible, there may come a point where it becomes unproductive to continue. I believe we have reached that juncture, as everyone has had the opportunity to express their perspectives, concerns, and positions on the matter. It may be prudent to conclude our discussion at this point. AND MOVE ON!!

In this case, we must acknowledge that Gordon and Isak will not be signing new contracts. This is a reality that Minteh fan boys and other fans may not fully comprehend. Bruno's desire to win a trophy in the near future is understandable, and signing a developmental player may not align with his ambitions. As fans, we must accept that we have world-class players who seek immediate success and achievement. Acquiring a top-six class defender like Guehi demonstrates our commitment to our star players and our ambition to compete at the highest level. Regarding the transfer fees, while I initially had reservations about the value of Gordon and Isak, I have learned from past experiences. If the club believes that Guehi is worth £70 million, then I am in agreement.

Serie A, of course. Or one of the most promising up-and-coming CBs in Europe. I must say, I found Steve Parish's remarks about generational talent to be rather excessive, this is up there too.
  16. Crystal Palace looking wide open here.
  17. 1. Hughes fouled Collins, man. He totally blocked him. 2. The ref blew his whistle before the ball crossed the goal line. There's no way VAR would overturn that. Unless they change the rules, of course.
  18. Listen, you've had your say, and we've heard you. Now, let's move on. It's not necessary to keep bringing it up every time he scores or assists. However, I do agree with Howe that selling Big Joe to fill our hole is a mistake. Our midfield is wide open without him, and replacing him would cost a fortune. By the way, when you say Brighton robbed us, how much do you think we should have sold Minteh for??
  19. During that intense game, when we were under a lot of pressure, someone was complaining in the Minteh thread? It's good to know where your priorities lie. @Zero I still hope Minteh does well in his career and reaches the top, however I will not whinge or blame the board for selling him. This board brought us from the bottom of the league to the top four in a year and a half, a cup final, and some world-class players. They're not perfect, and they've made mistakes, but they've made them because they want to be the best, not just to stay in the Premier League, like Ashely. Whinging at the Club for this mistake is embarrassing, to say the least. A true NUFC supporter wouldn't go over the top about this. Surely not. People have had their whinge, it's time to move on.

I wonder if Bournemouth fans think Solanke was a bad signing for them.

We dont have revenue that i know of to tank 100m+net spend summer at this point. I think you need to restructure your sentence to that.

It seems to be realism, as they are realists. Well, that is what they will tell you.
  23. Ahh yes I'm sure they will rightly point out that although the player was bought this summer, since it was announced on the 30th of June, it falls under the previous financial years accounts. My bone of contention is that if their assumptions are out by 10 to 13 million, that's huge in terms of PSR. That's an Antony Gordon and wages.
  24. To be fair again, you first said that we need to sell someone to spend 80 million, and you showed us the calculations by @timeEd32. But then you changed your mind when you opened the thread, as you clearly said in your post. And I'm pretty sure you'll change your mind again soon. As I once said, time will tell. Look, we don't have all the info, and you're right about that. So, we can't make any solid arguments or posts on this. If someone suggests spending over 100 million, don't immediately shoot them down by saying it's unrealistic or impossible or wishful thinking, (implying you're the realist.) The calculations done by the forum accountants say we'll be close to the limit if we spend 60 million this window, but those are just assumptions since we seem and are willingto spend over 100 million. That's all I'm saying, and I think a lot of people on this forum agree with me. So let's not base them as fact to dismiss what others are saying. I can pull up your past posts to prove my point if you wish it so. if you look at the last part I put in bold, you'll see that the forum accountants and other PSR experts are the ones who complain the most about this, eg the sale of Minteh. The rest of us, who don't care too much about calculations and trust the club, accept it and want to move on. Just check the Minteh thread and you'll see what I mean. All in all, I trust the club and I trust the process. They have never given me any reason not too.
