  1. Man United are still such a boring watch, had to switch to the Arsenal game..
  2. Yeah, exactly my thoughts. But I also think that we definetly can get more points, we drew many games last season and the bottom teams are almost free now.
  3. They could definetly struggle against Gala, if Gala beat Man United and Copenhagen, then Man United are out. Man United should in theory beat Copenhagen twice though, so if they can draw against Gala, then facing a Bayern who are already through can make the difference.
  4. Man United are actually so lucky with the fixtures.. Gala, the team that Man United need to overcome, are facing Bayern twice when Bayern still need points. Man United face Bayern at home in the last round, when Bayern are already through.
  5. If you look at last season, 4th place had 17 points after 9 rounds and 5-6th place had 14 points. The postponed games has been added to this. Right now 4th place has 20 points, while 5th has 19 points (5 points more than last season) and 6th place has 16 points.
  6. Honestly I'm starting to think that needing more points than what we got last year for top 4 will become a reality. Tottenham is doing much better than I expected, and Villa can easily improve on last season without that Gerrard start. Liverpool is looking very strong aswell. I'm sure Tottenham wont last all season, but surely the will improve their tally from last season by quite a bit?
  7. You know you're getting spoiled when you would be disappointed with a draw against Dortmund in the CL. I know that I would, considering our form lately.

    Fabian Schär

Someone need to make a compilation of his involvements from the game. The pass to Trippier on the first goal was pretty mint aswell.
  9. Comments are allways full of people overly trying to find hypocrisy in everything and making shitty comparisons..
  10. They needed to make sure that it was the perfect timing. First 3 months of "no football related activities" were off season.

Murphy was like a second Trippier down that right side on saturday.

That's how he never learned by his mistakes as a manager, and never developed at all. Terrible mindset and no willingness to learn. Completely ignorant to his own mistakes, and blamed it on bad luck or the world being against him. How to fail as a manager. I think this is what Mourinho also has suffered from, and why he has declined. Again, the opposite of Howe who will critically analyse every decision that he makes.

He was even underrated by the Swiss coach at the World Cup. Such a shame that Bruce took away a couple of Schär years from us.. Scary how that man can ruin some good talent. He's like the opposite of Howe in terms of man management. He destroys players at the same rate as Howe develops them.

He's been underrated ever since Howe took over. It almost seems like some of our fanbase are the only ones who realises just how good he is, from watching him each game.
  15. Incredible how much impact he can make as a sub. He would be a starter every game for us when fit.
  16. Last seasons Longstaff, with some improved finishing on top of it? Sign me up!
  17. Maybe Mbappe has some gambling issues that we can take advantage of and bring him here.
  18. God. After trying to be positive I just read this and realised that he also has the potensial to become one of the most hated men on Tyneside ever.

Such a humble guy. Gotta give some credit to his determination and willingness to learn and improve. It's amazing what a good mindset can help you achieve in a short matter of time.
  20. Ben White doesn't watch any football because he actually doesn't like football. Same with Carlos Tevez. Crazy.
  21. Assuming he will be out for 12 months, lets try to look at it from the hyperpositive perspective: Lets say the spark was missing in the first months here because he had to leave Milan only due to these personal issues. Milan accepts our offer at a reasonable price, again only due to the circumstances. He gets a lot of love and support from the fans and the manager, which will give him tons of motivation to come back stronger, clear of the gambling addiction, and also wanting to repay the fans and the team + manager. In the short term it's a horrible signing in this case, but in the longer term we could end up with a hugely important player, which we possibly would never have gotten if it wasn't for this gambling issue. This is a lot of assumptions, just trying to see it from a different perspective. Obviously not ideal regardless, but there's still hope for a best case scenario if he gets suspended.
  22. I really wanted to take out Haaland aswell, but I don't have the balls
  23. Need some advice. I'm thinking that Botman either starts, or he doesn't play at all? So therefore I should just start him in my team?
  24. I suggest arguing with people on the N-O forum. Surely triggers some adrenaline.
