Good points. Almiron still does it, but instead of putting a cross in he has to turn around and go back again.
-
It's true that it's hard to judge Anthony based on his time at Man Utd. Likewise it's also hard to judge whether he can perform in the Prem based on his time at Ajax. MLS is ofcourse not on the same level as Eredivisie, but Almiron looked like CR7 over there. I think he would look like a completely different player in Eredivisie aswell, if he went there. Besides, wouldn't Anthonys wage demand be pretty high? Man Utd often give players like him pretty high wages.
-
Forgot about him, yeah. Maybe, but there are many levels to this. There's a long way from favouring one foot to being "one footed".
-
Going back to him being one footed. It's a serious flaw that will be a lot more apparent when you play in the Prem, because here every margin matters. It makes him a lot easier to defend against, as long as he is not at a different level than the opponent like in Eredivisie. Robben was able to succeed because he was extremely fast and just amazingly good in other parts of his game. How many of the top 20 attackers in the prem right now are one footed to a high degree? 0?

I remember a certain against Palace at the end of last season. We had a break of 2 weeks without a game, while they had played 3 days ago. They were all over us, and it was argued that the difference in breaks was actually to their advantage since we were rusty and off rhythm. Is this not a factor in this case?
-
I just hope we won't be sitting so deep again. Our next 2 games are both away games, and then comes Man City.

Howes wife must be getting jealous..

Agree. As long as Mitchell is telling the truth about the window and how they worked during it, I really don't mind it. It's just honesty at that point. If Howe doesn't want the truth to come out, maybe he should be consider changing his methods, if he thinks that those methods being revealed in public puts him in such a bad light. If he thinks that his methods are fine, then I don't see him being too annoyed about it.
-
Did we not talk about how Ashworth wasn't were long enough for us to be able to evaluate him? Didn't he cover 3 or 4 windows? Quite a bit more than 6 weeks or so.
-
Maybe the list wasn't as bad as I thought initially. I did sort of agree with the top 5. But price tag? So being more expensive will count as a negative? Then it's absolutely bizarre that Szob is higher than Bruno G as he cost nearly twice as much.
-
I might be underestimating him. But at the same time, we have been absolutely useless everytime we have been missing Bruno G, so in that sense, you could argue that he is "carrying" us aswell. Most distance covered in the league is a part of it, like he is everywhere.
-
The thing I hate about Antony is that he is seriously one footed. Similar to Almiron in this regard.
-
Maybe it's just me, but I'm rarely amazed by Bruno F when I see him play. Has some great moments, and works hard for the team, but he can be a bit of a hot head. When they are down by a goal, he typically start blasting shots from 25m into the stands out of frustration and doesn't actually do that much productive (in these scenarios). He's a top player on his day, but Bruno G seem more consistent to me.
-
Exactly my thoughts aswell, that's why I included all of them in the screenshot. MacAllister is underrated imo, but not better than Bruno G..
-
"He cost us 20 mill" Gotta find a way to include that.

"Givemesport" did a top 12 midfielders in PL list. Not going to link it, because I refuse to give them more clicks for it, but here's a piece of it:

Did we make a song yet?
-
I was the most excited I had ever been over a player after the debut and then he breaks his entire leg 2 games later. Should've seen it coming, don't know why I was getting my hopes up.
-
I wasn't aware of the details at all. But I know that the profit from the hotel still going to the club after the sale was a talking point when it happened. Is this not the case anymore?
-
This whole gambling thing must have been weighting pretty heavily on his mind in the start of last season. Looks like a completely different player, and more like the player that that Milan fans were so sad to lose.
-
Osula might start against Wimbledon to be fair, I was just saying that I wouldn't actually be that shocked if he didn't.

We are actually in a good position for this cup. Pretty much the strongest team that doesn't have Europe, which is even more games this season. As we know, this cup has the lowest priority amongst those teams. We can afford to play our strongest side without playing with too much fatigue.
