  1. Darlow to Bournemouth gathering pace. We want £5m
  2. Agree. This is about increasing opportunities in future windows, not just a short term gain, in order to buy, Barnes. We aren’t near the FFP limit, this is just exploiting an opportunity to sell a fringe asset, who doesn’t want to be at the club, and who isn’t wanted by the manager. Best for all parties involved this outcome
  3. Just want him sold now, and for us to move on. He’ll be forgotten rather quickly, as we have superior players now, who are more effective. People are just stuck in the Ashley/Bruce era. ASM clearly wanted to leave, the club and manager wanted him sold, and it helps us massively with FFP. Not sure what people need to discuss. It’s best for all parties involved.
  4. Even if it’s £30m, I’m not going to lose sleep over it. It’s still a massive help on FFP. Time to move on for f*** sake. We’ve seen tonight, what we’ve all got to look forward to, with Tonali, and other potential signings, coming from the sale of ASM. We trusted the process, and they’ve bought in Isak, Botman and Bruno. We’ve got a great team to be proud of, and we just need to get behind them now, especially, Barnes. Stop the moaning, and move on, is what I say. The ASM stuff will linger for a few days on here, but I think many have moved on already from ASM, and are already looking forward to this new exciting era.

    Harvey Barnes

Shame others can’t see it. They will, once the season starts.
  6. It will be nothing short of £40m. This is Ashworth doing the negotiating. He’s been working on this for weeks. We are not some tinpot run club anymore

    Harvey Barnes

I’m probably an 8/10 on him. Proven PL winger, pretty quick, goes both ways, and has scored double digits. I don’t get the negativity whatsoever. Truly baffling. It’s also better to be underwhelmed, and then they flourish, than the other way around.
  8. He was always the cork in the bottle. Barnes is pretty much done. I’d expect the club to follow up with Livramento. Then it’s a case of a LB & CB. I wouldn’t mind Tierney & Jean-Clair Todibo.
  9. Nail on head. Why? Because he was the best player, in a terrible group of players. Guess what, the landscape has changed. New ownership, new players and new expectations. These supporters of him are harking on about those days, but they are long behind us now. He’s gone from our best player, to an injury prone, fringe player. Time to move on. Thankfully, the club have, and are shifting him on. Appreciate what he did, but we move on, and for the better.
  10. What are you on about. We just want this put to bed for both parties. It became boring a long time ago. Once he and his family see the contract that will set him up for life, he won’t think twice about signing. Time to move on. The club are, and now should some of the fans, who are stuck in the past, clinging on to a player who isn’t anywhere near elite, and injured for large amount of time. Absolute no brainer to sell.
  11. Now they’ve received contact from the Saudi’s, he won’t be there tonight, I can assure you. A deal will be struck, there’s no question about that. He knows Howe doesn’t want him, the club need to sell him, and once he sees the salary on offer, he will be signing that pretty darn quick. Just going to be excruciating now, while this inevitable departure plays out. Everyone just wants to know what the fee is now.

    Harvey Barnes

Just want this done. It’s pretty tedious now. Everyone and their dog knows this is going to happen. I’ve pretty much moved on from this deal. It’s a good, opportunistic move, at a good price. Big upgrade on ASM.
  13. Not bothered about ASM. Football moves on. Appreciate what he did, but was always time to move him on. With this money, Tonali, Barnes, and Livramento would be a solid window. We’d have cover for Trippier, central midfield strengthened, and a goal scoring winger. If we could add a CB, that might just be it, until, January. RW will probably be addressed in a future window, when better targets become available, and we maybe shift, Almiron.
  14. Not sure I believe the Disasi stuff. Plettenberg been pushing the same story for a week, and nothing has happened. If you’re spending that kind of fee, I’d rather get a first choice CB. Be harsh on Schar, but he’d still get a shed load of games over the season. Said it earlier, but I’d rather target Jean-Clair Todibo, who is younger, more highly regarded, and around the same kind of fee as Disasi.
  15. They’re 22 & 21, so should be there for a decade in that CM. They got this lineup on a Chelsea forum & on footballfantasyhub. Agreement that Pochettino prefers 4-2-3-1 —————Jackson—————- Mudryk—-Nkunku——Madueke —-Caicedo—-—Fernandez—- Chilwell-Silva-Badiashile-James —-————-Kepa——————— I know they will strengthen further, but I still think they’re just heavily relying upon Poch to work his magic, and for these players to just start trying.
  16. Yep. Couple of years development, a season in the championship or abroad, then sell for £20m, with sell on/buy back clauses. Cycle continues. Exactly what we should be doing.
  17. Seen a few rumours around Jean-Clair Todibo. I’d rather spend €40m on him, than this Disasi. He’s also younger at 23.
  18. We’ll bring in another three, at least. It’s still mid-July. I’d expect LCFC/Soton will back down on Barnes/Livramento, as the Championship season is just under three weeks away now. They will want to get rid of players, and complete their rebuilds. Everything ramps up towards August. Just needs patience, but nowadays, there is none.
  19. Leeds takeover confirmed. Ethan Ampadu signing for £7m. Hopefully they got some cash for Darlow.
  20. Bournemouth signings overrated. Kluivert is just a journeyman, living off the name.
  21. Interesting position for Fulham. They could bag £100m for Mitrovic & Palhinha this summer, but then it’s a ? on replacements, and them succeeding. Marco Silva also hesitant on signing a new deal, suggests there’s quite a bit of uncertainty at the Cottage
  22. Looked at various Diaby analysis, and can see why we didn’t offer. I think what put us off most, is his defensive work, or lack of. Defensively, his stats are horrendous, in comparison to, Almiron. He is only completing 2.84 successful defensive actions per 90. Along with that, he only completes 4 defensive duels per 90 minutes with has a success rate of 45%. When compared to the other attacking players this is low, and has caused issues when Bayer Leverkusen press high up the pitch. Stats also suggest when Moussa Diaby comes across teams playing a low block, and the space becomes limited, he becomes significantly less effective. His short and medium passing completion rate is not great at 82% and 79% respectively, which is lower than many Bundesliga attacking players. I won’t go on, but you can see the type of player he is. Quick winger, but more of a luxury type player, who would need carrying. Be interesting to see if he ends up at Villa.
  23. Thought Elvedi from Moechengladbach would have been a decent pickup, with Schar already at club. Wolves heavily linked: £7.7million for the defender, who is a 47-times Switzerland international.
