  1. Barella will end up at Man City, if Silva leaves. That Fresneda might end up at Bournemouth.
  2. -Hall-Botman-Todibo-Livramento- Future defence ?
  3. —————Watkins————— —Ramsey—————-Diaby—- —Tielemans-Kamara—Luiz—- -Moreno-Torres-Mings-Cash —————-Martinez————— Here we go, now we’re AVFC-online.org, he’s our XI this season.
  4. CB is top priority now. Todibo is the linked for €40m. Can’t see Andersen being pursued. Can’t see us signing anyone at LB now. We don’t need any more wingers. That will be next summer, when we upgrade the RW, and shift Almiron/Murphy.
  5. Saw some French media claiming Jean-Clair Todibo has been identified as our main CB target. Disasi no longer of interest. OGCN value @€40m
  6. young lb rumours are Ait-Nouri, Ian Maatsen types. Think we’ve decided against a big outlay on a LB. Doubt we are looking at Tierney anymore, as Livramento is versatile. The money will be spent on a CB, with a young LB on loan.
  7. Not sure we want to deal with PL sides for players. The fees are inflated to ridiculous levels, hence we’ve targeted championship clubs, and more opportunistic signings. Not sure Andersen is the answer.

    Tino Livramento

Shows how desperate we are for him, so they must be sure. We’ve gone from £12m to £21m to now £30m in just a month. As much praise as Ashworth/club gets, I wouldn’t say we’ve done a good negotiating job with this one, but as long as he’s not lost any physical performance and explosivity, it’s should be a cracking signing, and covers Trippier.
  9. So many closet Villa fans here. We shouldn’t be worried about others, they should be worried about us. That’s the mentality
  10. Many of the sides will low block and deny Diaby/Watkins/Bailey the space in behind.

Personally, I think £30m is steep. Tbh, nobody knows what he’s like post injury, that’s my concern.
  12. Think teams know you can’t carry players anymore. He’s was a luxury fringe player for us, injury prone, and who scored one goal last season. £30m is not small change for teams in Europe. PL sides no to avoid him, because they’ve seen first hand his inconsistency, injury record and how little he had to do with our success last season. £30m from SA is a good deal, and the reason we’ve agreed it. Time to move on

    Harvey Barnes

That’s not how FFP works. It’s not a cash flow issue ?
  14. Now we know why he was stalling on that contract.
  15. For a luxury fringe player, who’s injury prone, and scored one goal all season, I don’t think we can complain about £30m. Take it, and move on.

We don’t have a limitless pot. You back Wilson & Isak. We can’t sign another striker, he’d be third choice. No chance of attracting anyone decent. We got other priorities to focus on. I’d think we’d be terribly unlucky for them both to be injured for long periods at the same time.
  17. Superb deal. No complaints whatsoever.

Almiron will be prime candidate to go next summer. I’d imagine it will be MLS for him. It won’t be the star names, but it will be one reasonable expendable player each summer, from here. Just to keep FFP in check
  19. Seems the focus is now about squad depth in defensive areas now. Livramento is obviously the next target Disasi was ruled out by Keith D. If Palace want £70m for a midfielder who’s done nothing, I’d imagine Andersen will be too expensive. Tierney is there and waiting. Just for us to decide if we want to give them £30m. Heard rumours on Jean-Clair Todibo for £40m. Not much else. The Maxi stuff has kind of taken over.
  20. I sense it’s gone quiet since the fee has gone up and around £35m from some more credible sources. There will never be an agreement on him, but I think it’s time to accept it, and move on.
