  1. I’m not blaming him, we’re not getting the best of him. He’s essentially a £50m “does a job” at the min.
  2. He’s better than Longstaff but that’s not a high bar.
  3. I’m not. Just don’t know what he brings as an individual. Runs around, tackles… and? Outside of being a “functional” part of the team what individuality does he bring?
  4. Murphy off, now. Isak shouldn’t have started he’s not fit, should have been Gordon down the middle with Barnes starting. We miss Trippier so fucking much. Ponderous. Where has the speed and intensity gone. Oh and fuck off to the two on comms.
  5. Southampton posting this one of the own goal greats from Vergini
  6. Villa are gonna’ get a Boxing Day Botting
  7. He can press anywhere along the line, just thought he looked more focused through the middle. Think he likes the pressure and responsibility of leading the line and the press. Not sure if they’re up to speed yet, but only mins will do that. Big Joe certainly hasn’t looked up to it since S’oton. I can see glimmers of little Joe getting back to it. They were so good couple of seasons ago dovetailing between cm and lw.
  8. Have a word about what? The fact that he’s awful as a hold up player? A big reason why he’s not seeing much of the ball is because it bounces off him whenever it’s played with his back to goal (25% aerial duels won). He also doesn’t press as intensely or with as much success as Gordon, that’s a fact. The two ways we get him the ball with most success is over the top so he’s either 1v1 or 1v2 or he curls a run to either flank and stretches oppos that way. He does also drop deep to receive the ball but needs quick, intense moves forward from teammates to support (we actually need Botman back to meet and beat CF’s at the hw line so we can get Isak and others consistently nearer to the oppo goal). But not having Wilson as an alternative target man really hurts us because Isak simply can’t do it. Isak has had 24 touches out of 133 total (405 mins) in the oppo box this season so… Gordon looked improved and more focused down the middle. Gordon obvs isn’t our cf full time but idk maybe start Isak on the bench for this. If Brighton are gonna’ have a lot of the ball, an Isolated Isak is no use anyway. Would rather it be Gordon chasing the defenders when it breaks than Isak.
  9. Gordon is more suited to pressing their erratic backline. Also think people have forgotten how well the two Joe’s worked together on that left flank a season or two ago.
  10. Pope Livramento Schar Burn Hall Tonali Bruno Willock Barnes Gordon Joelinton fk knas what the score is gonna’ be. 2-1 to us maybe.

Just watched his press conference. He was asked 3-4 times if he thinks the England manager should be English and also if he will sing the national anthem (even by the reporter for a German outlet). FML. He says he wants to put a second star on our shirt and one of the wankers, in a sarcastic tone just goes “good luck” then tries to cover it up.

18 months says “win us the World Cup”. Then Pep takes over (in my dreams).

I’m unsure about this, admittedly because I know very little of him other than the fact he was Chelsea manager for a little bit. Didn’t stay long there, or at PSG and Bayern. Two years as Dortmund manager. Is that where he made his name or was it at Mainz? I know he’s highly rated. I want him to do well and for England to win a bloody trophy so will back him.
