  1. Seems to me that it’s just shitty tactics from Liverpool. Bid low, pull out in the hope that Isak kicks off even more so they can then take him in a few weeks at a much lower fee. If that is the case then they really can get fucked and we should double down and refuse to sell no matter what Isak does, can’t have them pushing us around.
  2. I think he will go and there will be a lot of disappointment on the fee. Imagine it will get done at £135m ish, rising to £150m with add ons. More concerned about who we will then bring in
  3. Do option to buys not work as in us having first refusal at a set price if we still want him?
  4. We look like the team that don’t play together every week

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Yes but that isn’t realistic and we have more than competed so far. New GK/Pope Tino/Trippier New CB/Schar Botman/Burn Hall/Tino (Krafth then back up RB) Tonali/Bruno/Joelinton/New CM/Miley/Willock Gordon/Barnes Isak (or new)/New ST (Wissa?)/Osula Elanga/Murphy That is a much better squad if the new players are of real quality which I think they will be judging by our recruitment to date. Yes I would love a proper LB backup as well and a different CM backup to Willock but if we did the above we can still compete for CL and do well in the cups this year

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think we need to spend now as if Isak is going. If he stays then great, do a new contract with a release clause that is lower if he goes before 30th June 2026 because I think we all know he will be gone next summer at the latest. We are four players away from having a very good squad, a GK, RCB, CM and ST and then another striker at the end of the window if Isak goes this summer and we can recover from this shit show of a summer.
  7. Good run out that. Positives: - Goals from both our right wingers - Osula looked lively with limited service - Alex Murphy did alright despite his own goal - Trippier played very well - Gordon looked bright at times and very committed - Miley looked more like his old self - We will never have to listen to that commentator again Negatives: - Pope's kicking - Targett, Ashby and Lascelles not good enough - Soft penalty cost us a result - Didn't get to have a random penalty shoot out despite losing like Arsenal vs AC Milan
  8. Max Dowman has played well but this commentator needs to remember he is up against Matt Targett.
  9. Thought we have played alright today to be fair, shame it has been undone by a ridiculously soft penalty.
  10. Botman off, massive concern that. We are so limited at the back without him
  11. Two of them holding their faces, it's pre season you tossers! Never knew Merino was such a cheat
  12. Commentator desperate not to give any praise to Murphy there. Is this an Arsenal TV commentator or a neutral? Genuine question
  13. Such a hateable team, diving every time they are touched and cynical fouls constantly. White should be booked pre season or not.
  14. About half the ball was still in play then, but another bizarre pass from Pope.
  15. We need to improve on Pope. Also, I thought Elanga is meant to be good at set pieces, why is Trippier still taking them?
  16. Really enjoying this performance so far. Trippier has been outstanding defensively, Alex Murphy has done well against Saka and is neat and tidy on the ball (when not getting it pinged at him from Pope), Bruno looks brilliant as he did against Celtic and the front three look dangerous despite not seeing much of the ball.
  17. Osula doing really well considering we are not seeing much of the ball, difficult when you're barely touching it but he is making the most of it when he does get it.
