Might draw some ire, but this is for the best. Trips was shockingly poor on the defensive end for a good 3 months before his injury. Happy to keep on with the current squad and their momentum.

Personally no - Minteh is all upside based on what we've seen. Could easily see him fetching 40, 50, 60 million quid one day. Chance he flames out sure, but these are the risks we need to be taking as we try to overcome FFP imo

Thought he played better than he's getting credit for. Quite tidy on the ball and thought he held his own against Iwobi.

Agreed on these points -- I think he'll do well to develop a bit more patience/composure on the ball. He's relentlessly positive, but you get the sense he'll see dividends with more experience as the game slows down for him and he learns to advance play with some more control.

Been critical of Howe at points - thought he executed to perfection today. We absorbed Fulham's pressure early, and took our chances when they fell to us (should've been 2 nil mind).

With what he's shown us in such restricted circumstances, it would be malpractice to start Burn over him at LB. He was an instant game changer for us, and was crucial to the build up for that second Harvey Barnes goal if memory serves. Beggars can't be choosers and we can't be leaving what limited quality we have to fester on the bench with the season on the line.

We also aren't spoiled for choice and as effective a crosser Murphy can be, Gordon is effective enough on the right that, at full strength, just seems to make the most sense to have them both on the pitch if possible

Even though Gordon ended up going off, before that it was so refreshing to see the utility of two guys on the flank with real attacking ability playing off each other. Much more difficult for opposing back line to deal with Edit to add Barnes as well

No excuse to not start Hall over Burn at LB at this point
