I wouldn’t spend £35m on Elanga, whatever our PSR constraints may be. That said, I wouldn’t spend £65m on Bakayoko either, he is not worth that kind of money.

I have no idea where we currently stand regarding PSR, but someone please tell me we will have a few quid to spend in the summer? Not too fussed about January. I’m of the opinion that we will just have to accept our medicine as far as the remainder of this season goes. Agree to write this season off (as long as we don’t get relegated) and prepare for a proper rebuild in the summer.

Marcus Tavernier doesn’t exactly scream excitement, does he. I don’t think he is that much better than Miggy or Murphy, if at all.

Liverpool did it as well. Sold their star players like Suarez. The Coutinho money bought them Salah, Van Dijk and Alisson.

I’m tired of players who are athletes first and foremost, with the stamina of a horse, and can run and press all day long. For once, I would like to see us sign a maverick. Someone with a bit of flair and trickery.

PSR is killing us. We might have to accept that we will need to start from ground zero again. At least we will be in a much better place financially than we were when the takeover first happened.

I’d sell Bruno, Isak and Gordon. If we can get £250 for them that will allow us the breathing space PSR wise for a proper rebuild.

Gordon, to me, looks like someone who’d rather be elsewhere. And by “elsewhere” I mean Liverpool Football Club. A classic case of a player having his head turned.
