Europa League at the moment, but if Man U win the FA cup, Man U get the Europa League spot and Chelsea drop to Conference. I think that's how it is.

If his technique was as good as his knee slides he'd be some player.

Nice to see Pope back, though he hasn't played in, what, over 5 months? There is a bit of risk of lack of match sharpness tbf. Also we're crap away from home so I'm not very confident about this. Murphy, Longstaff and Krafth as our right-sided trio has been found a little lacking in the past.
-
Feel like they should have been saturday kick offs. If you win the league on the final day surely you want saturday night to enjoy it.

Tbf the entire gambling industry works on the principle of 'you give us some money, on average we'll give you less back.'

Out of curiosity, which team got the goalkeeper?

I'll never look at granny's doilies the same way ever again.

If they're fresh chips, like Villa's this year, I don't think they should be begrudged enjoying them for a bit. It's only when the chips have been around for a little while and gone stale that they need pissing on IMO.

That one took me a moment tbh

I'm all in favour of basing our recruitment on creating silly phrases with our lineup tbh. We're never going to bloody win anything, might as well have a laugh.

I think he has pretentions of becoming a French noble personally.

Agreed. I mite right a peace four the Sunderland Echo a bow tit.

It's pretty simple to be honest: 'Loose' sounds like: juice, bruce, deuce, mousse or use [when a noun]. 'Lose' sounds like: Lewes, loos, Lou's, chews, Hughes, blues and two's. Don't understand why this is so hard for non-native speakers.

Should ground share with them if we rebuild SJP!

Feel like he's one of those that should get some minutes next year to see how he does.

This waiting is intolerable. And as dodgy as these have been all year they still have some good players and are still at home, and we've not exactly been playing that great most of the time. Really can't say what result I think is most likely.

Should have bet on a draw. Only way Spurs can both help Arsenal and bugger their own Champions League hopes.

That's how the mind games work!

Ashworth's got bored and added a water feature.

We'll have to wait and see - he can't sign for a couple more weeks anyway. Man U also need defenders and can probably offer more money than us. If we don't get Europe & they do, they may look a lot more appealing even if they are a bit chaotic at the moment. Plus he's from Manchester isn't he? So that could be a pro (or maybe even a negative). Speaking to us and being 'close to an agreement' could be a way of getting a better deal with others. Or hints about Man U could be a way of getting a better deal with us. This is probably going to be the most important contract of his career so I imagine he'll want to make the most of it, which is fair enough. We can offer a decent financial package, a stable coaching set up with a track record of improving players, an ambitious project and an opportunity at a starting spot. Hopefully that's enough.
-
Also, might as well get this in early: his injury record... urgh.
-
Domestic end of contracts can sign a pre contract a month before their contract expires, so I think Tosin and Kelly can actually sign a deal on 1st June, with us or whoever gazumps us. Think we can speak to them beforehand - press seem to be saying we are.

Frustrating and a bit of an underwhelming performance, particularly at home vs a Brighton team with loads of injuries. Thought a draw was a fair result overall. We were a bit sloppy at times and lots of bad final passes. They were ok - can see how they suck you in and then play it up to their strikers. They're clearly better at possessioning than we are. Was one of those games where our set up means we can't play the ball at all though the middle and so Isak basically never got a kick. In posession I though we looked a bit better with Joe on as he roams around a bit and drops deep and makes himself available compared to Longstaff, who's effective linking play in the final third but never shows any urgency to show for the ball in the middle third- though Joe was on against tiring players to be fair. Some positives - Hall did some nice passes and looked solid again. Thought Anderson did some good things. Big Jow back and generally looks ok. Krafth and Burn did well for a makeshift CB pairing who were up against a few counter attacks. Also going to disagree with Miggy being chod - his dive was frustrating but I thought he added a lot of impetus, I trust him to take the ball in tight spaces more than Murphy (who was having one of his old-skool Murphy days) and he was a fraction away from making a goal.

2nd half not quite so good

Agreed, his dribbling's definitely got a lot better. Not just reliant on burning people for pace. Looks to combine well with Anderson and Hall. Showing why he was player of the year.
