Many of his goals have been pelanties to be fair, but he seems to be enjoying it. I personally think he's our best LW on all-around play as well. I think it was first game of the season, or maybe the Liverpool game he was asked about playing centrally and said he'd probably end up centrally long-term, so he seems to be up for it. Wouldn't mind seeing him tried as a 10 playing behing Big Nick. Let him move around, find the ball, he's got the pace to nip in and nick turnovers and I'm sure he'd be more than willing to get forward and lead the line when Nick drops deep. Perhaps near the end of the year when our league fixtures get a bit easier. Also, the idea he wouldn't want to play vs Barcelona in CL knockouts is obviously bollocks.

Only saw the last 20 mins where obviously we just defended and from reports sounds like a good away performance, though result could have gone either way. Anyway just pleased with a win and to have got one over on MBA-boy.

Started well, then I don't know if we got tired but we just sat on the edge of our final third for the last 15/20 minutes and let them play the game they want to play after that. When we go into that very deep 451 we basically have no out ball and end up constantly under pressure. Doku's definitely got the beating of Trips 1v1. Hopefully we make some changes and bring on some more energy, though their bench is ridiculous!

My take was he was hoping to draw the keeper into the foul so he did the big touch that he'll never catch but the foul didn't come, then he kind of gave up in frustration. It's the kind of situation, where there's a potential sending off, why you wonder why a ref can't ask to check the footage before making the decision.

Missed the first 60 mins or so. Did we go two up top from the beginning? I think we've played well this year when we've done that. Not long after I tuned in we seemed to be tiring, which is hardly surprising, and felt they might jammy it out but agent Osula to the rescue! What a goal!

It's fine, but I prefer the original lion that looks like a monkey more and still hate the blue. The chess piece just disappearing below the cheetos twisty looks a bit off too. Wonder if they could just get rid of the whole ribbon effect at the bottom as it looks a bit weak without the border. Just have the front bit with 'Newcastle United' on and make it black and white to get rid of the ghastly blue. Don't know that the seahorses need tongues sticking out either. Give them a cigarette or nothing, and maybe a flat cap to simplify the detail on the top of their heads.

First 6 minutes were great. After that went into full dawdle tempo. Can understand as we're 8-1 up but would be nice to see a bit of fast play once in a while. You can see why we can't make any chances against a low block. Usually openings come with a bit of movement anbd 2 or 3 quick, accurate passes in a row. We struggle to do one. Think Joe's been good. Nick's had a couple of moments where he's seen the throughball and played it. Barnes obviously made the chances early. Mainly they've just waited for one of our guys to lose concentration from sheer boredom and give it away.

Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of the young'uns given a chance, but probably for the last 45 mins or so. Alex Murphy could start, would make sense to rest Hall. Ramsdale maybe too. Osula up top with Wissa coming on or vice versa. Maybe give Barnes and Gordon half a game each on the left. Three full days rest in between games, few home games on the bounce and probably won't be a crazy high tempo game so don't think fatigue will be a massive concern. Just rotate for form/fitness/avoid suspensions.
