Yea, usually terms are all agreed with player when someone bids, and you then will bid below known asking price as the negotiating tactic afterwards is “He’s agreed to join, so unless you want to keep someone who’s not interested in staying, then a deal needs to be made”. The longer it goes on (not even been 12 hours since the recent news) that no bid is made, will give more confidence that Liverpool are not close to Isak camp on getting terms agreed.

Blame someone who's not at club - TICK Liverpool could make an offer - TICK Isak could sign new deal with Newcastle - TICK Newcastle after a big named striker - TICK Another fucking usless cover all basis nothing article from Craig Dopey Cunt Hope. Now for Romano, Jacobs, Ornstein to all tweet themselves, referencing this, for their own clickbait traction. SHAMELESS CUNTS

Can we fuck off making threads for players that we have not agreed a deal with, let alone made a fucking bid for.

Depends how quick we get him signed. By weekend starts, might as well. Drags into early next week, no point. Better (and same for any signings) getting them on a fast track individual training regime to get their fitness right up there for when the team comes back. Little point flying 12+ hours to play one game (which may not even be that) to then fly back, unless club really valued the bonding with the team on the flight back.

My new copium is Isak agent is a massive bell. Talks have been ongoing for months on new contract, with Chelsea signing Pedro and Arsenal Gyokres, the agent hand has been weakened in negotiations. After we moved for Etitike that then sprung Liverpool into action, it's further pissed off the agent because it's potentially weakend his hand further. Isak is geninely injured and we've left him behind as we don't want to take a risk on someone we've managed carefully since March over this injury, and the agent has used this as a final cunts trick to get the deal he wants by saying Isak is exploring moves and using the being left behind as an angle to get clubs circling. End result is he gets a new deal at us, but right now the pendulum has swung back towards agent in the talks over the final terms. Believeable?

Why we can't sell. As it's needing both strikers to also hit ground running (in terms of settling in / in game play clicking with others). If Isak has his mind on wanting to move on, then this is the Harry Kane situation. Unless someone offers £150m, you're not leaving this summer, but if someone offers £100m next summer, we won't stand in the way. Isak produces again, the move is there (and maybe to more clubs). Onus is then just as much on him to deliver to get his move. We can then only need to sign one striker this summer, our aim all summer, and scout long term for a replacement.

For all of the talk of Liverpool interested, surprised they haven't got terms agreed yet with Isak. Like is the £300k even too much for them? Can move on Diaz etc. all they want for funds, but their wage bill will be shooting up this summer. Salah / VVD on big new deals. Wirtz on a mega deal, Etitike on similar, then Isak would take just those three close to £1m pw. Quansah and Kelleher would be neglible wages gone. TAA the only big one off the books. Diaz/Elliot would be like £100k between them. Transfer funds is one thing, wages are another when you are making multiple high end signings. Doesn't leave much wiggle room for future seasons.

We've got this guys contract to sort out still. 2 years left next summer, he'll be wanting a mega final deal.

So what have we done since Monday 14th July when our one and only bid for Etitike went in and was rejected? Made a bid for £25 for Wissa which was always going to be rejected? 10 days, one bid, for one player. Just pure jokes this window Peak Newcastle fan will be for Howe to walk out start of September.

Still don’t get on board with the Isak bashing when there’s been ZERO sources linked to Isak saying he wants out, refusing to play etc. All it’s been is Howe saying he’s had a niggle, resting, wants to keep him (as with any linked player he wants to them to stay) and that’s it. People then have ran with stories based on the principle he wants out, because that is one of the many options that’s plausible until said otherwise.
