  1. Why does being a millionaire have anything to do with it? People get told to do X, Y, Z every day and follow those. You have players at clubs all wear t-shirts in past for support of players because they’ve been instructed too. Once he was instructed to pull out of the tour, that was it for the short term. No rowing back on that as he couldn’t then join up. Next telling landmark will be when we come back from the tour and if he links back up with the squad (if no bid is made and fee being agreed). If we wasn’t on a tour on other side of world, Isak would be back with the squad. Like Wissa will be going back to Brentford training now they’re back in the UK.
  2. Because he wouldn’t be the first nor last player who’s controlled by the agent. Yea Isak may want to move to Liverpool, but how he’s been instructed in his actions will be agent driven as the recommended course of action. No different to people in other walks of life who listen to their media / PR people for how they approach things. You go with them and don’t think twice. Club could hate Isak agent and can distinguish between them both. So bringing Isak onside wouldn’t be a problem for them, whilst the suits upstairs have to deal with Isak agent over course of season as the move is sorted out for 2026.
  3. It’s been a shitshow, but believe it’s all agent driven and Isak has the wrong voices around him. If Etikike hadn’t moved to Liverpool, don’t think we’d be seeing this desperate play from the agent.
  4. Eddie doesn’t have to do much to get Isak back into side, we’ve got likes of Bruno, Burn, Trippier, Tonali, Joelinton etc. who will all make it known what the expectations will be for Isak to come back and effort required. It’s also in Isak own interests to play well if he was to come back, as a poor season from him and the move to likes of Liverpool won’t be there. Etitike does well, why would Liverpool want a £100m+ back up?
  5. Van Hecke is as close as they get to Schar from the Prem isn’t he?
  6. Wissa deal is off. Sesko is a non starter. Been waiting for 2 weeks now for movement to happen. Only thing new is putting a price to the name, but that’s just plucked from thin air.
  7. Not too far off it, but by end of this decade, Saudi will be pushing very hard to get their top 2 sides into the UCL, and will use big money TV offer to get it to happen. Be more emphasis for the games to be at the weekend eventually for UCL and that’s when the cartel will clash with the Premier Legaue. Long for the day the cartel are fucked off from the league.
  8. Guy has same goals to minutes ratio as Isak last season. Goal every 150 mins for last two seasons despite not being a regular in a mid table table. Yea we'd all like the exciting names, but Muniz / Elanga would be very productive.
  9. We've got UCL season to look forward too, perspective man
  10. We got no new data for players? So just going back on what we had in 2023 before Ashworth left
  11. Muniz would be a really good signing IMO. He’s not the name people want, doesn’t have the ‘goals’ at face value, but you look at his underlying stats for minutes played and his play style, and he’s just perfect for our style in same way Elanga is.
  12. Yea. Fuck the spurs game, the PR stuff been done and now just wasting time. Hate all oversees tours, doesn’t help with starting season well.
  13. Ramsdale, Guehi, Gallagher, Elanga, Watkins for the most Premier League window ever?
  14. We’ve not made one bid, why are we constantly linked to him like he’s our number one target? I really don’t mind missing out on him. He’s not some mega talent and his an agent driven player. Just so many warning signs and has a classic Man Utd transfer “wE bReAk PlAyErS” all about him. No you didn’t break him, he’s just average in a poor side so is made to look even worse as his bottom floor can be very low.
  15. Sibierski

    Joe Willock

We‘re never getting a fee for him. Stuck with him till 2027.
  16. Just come back from this tour. Don’t need another pointless game out here, does not help our perpetrations at all for the season and the commercial side is overplayed.
  17. Think that will happen, we just need to actually receive a fucking offer from Liverpool first to do it. Because whilst I agree with motion of serious clubs don’t sell their best players, well run clubs do sell well and if Liverpool opening bid is close to £150m, it makes us take notice and consider a sale more. Anything around Wirtz fee, instalments / add ons, gets a swift fuck you, we can get that next summer. Isak told to get back, PR overdrive to compensate, then can plan longer term with structure in place upstairs for what life should look like post Isak. Because we sure as hell did not approach this window at start with ‘what will be like post Isak’.
  18. Can put a price on playing for your boyhood club getting that extra % and consistency in your game. Ramsdale has been at multiple clubs, had highs but lows, and him as a long term goalkeeper is underwhelming of the highest level. He’s not a disaster, but he’s also not great, just your straight down the middle average goalkeeper which is not fancy for the price point it would be for a permanent move. I’ll back him as if he does well, we do well, but there’s no sugar coating it’s an abject signing.
  19. We likely bring in a low cost GK. Not spending £20m on Ramsdale for him not to be number 1. Best case, we accept it’s an expensive loan and leave it at that. Pope is settled in area and accepts a one year deal to remain at a top club, and we nail a long term GK.
  20. So disappointed in this deal. It won’t be a loan, we will make it a permanent buy because Pope will be off next summer. Just average as average can be. Like a Matt Targett level of signing which I’d hope we moved on from.
  21. Wait till we see goofy twat Ramsdale in our kit.
  22. So we’re allowing him to sit around at home do nothing? Even Wissa is training on his own when kicking off and wanting out. He’ll be doing some training stuff and we will be overseeing it as it’s still our asset. If the guy wants to move to Liverpool, sitting around doing nothing won’t help his cause as he will be way off the fitness.
