We’ll be needing him regardless. Either to change the game, or to inject some fresh momentum if we’re winning and need a fresh outlet of quality to ease pressure.
-
Gordon to come off bench with 30 to go will be huge. Don’t really have much else outside of Miley but wouldn’t expect him to move the needle if we need something, just more fresh legs without dropping too much.
-
Depends what his wages and signing fee would be. If we’re in UCL, we need quality. £200k pw 2 year deal, that’s £20m gone in wages minimum. Do you take what you know you get, or go youthful for that price point. You’d think even after one year, the option is probably there to move him to Saudi etc.

Normal Newcastle part of me is fearing Hojlund / Garnacho finally scoring and looking like world beaters against us, as we slip up and they then return to shit the following week. The new Newcastle part of me is overconfident, we turn up with our A game, this will be comfortable. 2-0.
-
I don’t think he will. WC coming up and he strikes me as someone that still wants to play at the top end.
-
If KDB is open to staying in Prem, he’s got to be considered surely for our CM? Gives us another dimension, short term, another top player for Miley to learn from.
-
Henderson has literally tossed this away for Palace.
-
Man City are a really bad side. People need to finally realise it. Just no legs and have literally no star power in the wide areas.
-
It’s 1 in 2 for a low side, but he’s playing centrally as a striker/2nd striker so near everything is going through him. Cunha isn’t some legit rare top talent where we have to move or rue missing him, and I’d be extremely disappointed if we dropped £60m on him.
-
We can add versatility without needing to spend £60m on Cunha. Would hope the big money is on a starting RW / CB, followed by GK. Then where there’s any money left, young/low cost potential for CM and ST. I’d envisage Trips/Targett stay for one more season.
-
6 wins and a draw in Man City remaining games is still believing they’re some top side this season. Nothing has indicated all season they will click into form. 66 though is fair reflection for us, and based on everyone’s season, should be enough for 5th.
-
If we signed Cunha for £60m and used him as a CM option I’d be so angry. Far better signings we can make who help us in CM. Nothing for me jumps out as him being the gear shift we require and I don’t believe any of the links. His agent will be desperate for a move so going to be touted for every club going.
-
People should’ve signed him last season then. He’s not changed as a player, and there’s enough red flags to avoid. He’s going to score goals playing as striker/2nd striker, regardless of the side.
-
Selling Gordon to make way for flavour of the month Cunha. Fuck off
-
Any Cunha links just feels massive red herring, where we’ll probably leak it’s a target but actually spending time on someone different where it’ll come from nowhere.
-
They play better in the sense they play deep with a 8 deep. Like how they would be under Jose / OGS. More compact, space closed off, but nothing in the side at all apart from Fernandes. Honestly, if they didn't have Fernandes, they would be so fucked as a side.
-
Depends how much UEFA are in bed with the Saudis over coming years.
-
Hard to know what Liverpool will do business wise this summer because it’s a new era for them, so may pivot completely different directions on their targets. Feels LB / CB / ST will be their main signings, with Bradley being trialled at RB for a season to see if the step up happens and saves them money. Maybe a CM too since Slot isn’t keen on Elliot at all.
-
He could have a Darren Bent like career when he moved to Spurs, where in todays chatter people would label him as a flop but he’s output still being solid. Chelsea be a poor move for him. Question any player going there because it’s such a bat shit club, it’s never going to consistently get the best out of you.
-
Him around as the emergency 5th choice CB is fine. Shouldn’t be needed outside of low level cup games.
-
PSG are the style of side I want us to be in time. Hard pressing, pace and movement in attack, ball retention in middle. Just rather our more unit sized midfielders because it’s needed in Prem. Instead of this inverted crap with full backs and tippy tappy possession for possession sake. Howe it feels like is taking us more PSG direction than the latter which is good.
-
Only so long you can play men deep and keep smashing it long, till the chances rack up so much you concede goals. Can’t do same 2nd leg.
-
When you see this Dortmund side got to the final last season, there’s always hope for competent sides each season of getting to UCL final.

Diasi is an awful player. Why I can’t agree that Villa know what they’re doing with their transfers.
