It’s poor not tracking the run fully, but think once that ball is being played, he’s not making up the yards and at best he’s making a challenge from the wrong side. Real issues was just burn being out there and leaving the space which then makes the pass easy.

Team needs to have more confidence wanting ball in tight spaces in our own half. Far too often, we only seem comfortable if it’s going more direct. Instead of getting it more in our own half to beat a press and break the lines. Shows our limitation as a side because we then make games closer than it should be.

I’d argue their form this season hasn’t been much related to UCL and just been outright poor inconsistency. Not had multiple key injuries, still signed multiple players in January. Overall to date it’s been a good season for them, going far in UCL, in a domestic cup and still got a good chance of Europe next season. Next 2 months will shape if it moves into great or poor season.
