December/January will be miserable, top off with being battered by Arsenal or Liverpool in League Cup SF. Then we will hit some run in March onwards, that coincides with a FA Cup QF exit away to one of the big sides, and we end season 9th with a shrug of the shoulders.

Sad it last season with Hall, but I turned out to be wrong so may be again. But if he’s not getting minutes, he needs to either be featuring for u23s or go out on loan in January (that wasn’t an option for Hall). Probably different to Hall as he’s older, at 21 he should be playing a lot more football than he is currently otherwise he’s being stunted. 18 slightly different, can argue training with first team is more beneficial if you’ve got the talent which turned out to the case with Hall.
-
That’s all fair and valid, but does smacks loads of head in sand and ignore what’s happening during the games when they say “but sadly we conceded a last-minute goal and got an away point”, makes it sound like it was an unfortunate game
-
Some effort that by Botafago. Wow.
-
Strongly back him Still back him for now Open to change end of season Strongly think he should go If they’re the options, think it’s heavily clumped in the middle too, with more still backing, but the open to change starting to have more.
-
Not for me, as he still has the same attributes. Some of his finishing gone down hill (or not improved) so the stats are low, but don’t think it’s close to Miggy purple patch stuff either. Like for England, he’s shown far more than he has for us, in terms of his performances, so the ability is there, just form and an air of his effort/attitue slightly off, Probably go as far to say, he’s not the only one, so I don’t think all is rosey on the training ground / behind close doors this season. Something within the club in general is down.

West Ham such a shit team. More annoyed of all our results this season, losing at home to them.
-
If we’re wanting a short term winning mentality manager, then going after Conte at end of season would be my choice. If it’s a statement manager, then Inzaghi in summer. Progressive manager with potential, Kieron McKenna at end of the season after they go down. End of day, what the future vision is for the club 25 onwards will determine who is the manager. If it’s still we will challenge the top boys, you will be backed well, and you’ve got a few seasons to move towards it, then we can attract anyone IMO.
-
Thought after sitting on bench all Euros, it would get him fired up this season to prove a point. But seems to done the opposite, where it’s hit his confidence massively.
-
Absolutely not. He’s boat has sailed and it would steps back at a crucial period we need to take strides forward getting him. Need a progressive manager, that can get us playing through the lines, get players enjoying football. Think the more the games are a tough drag like today, will get the players looking elsewhere, and Mourinho would be more of that and the toxicity he brings.

Equal amount of open play goals as Gordon this season for us.
-
It’s just routinely how shit we are with the ball, despite clearly some good players. We lack a few to be truly great with the ball, but our level with what we’ve got is abysmal. To get to top, that needs improving. You have a style and you improve the result with the quality. But we don’t, so get two better players at CB / RW, are we going to see an uplift? It’s doubtful.
-
I just can’t see how Mitchell and co watch that again, and think “Yep, he’s the guy to back further”, when he’s not their guy or others. Howes safety net isn’t there, and so it comes down to results business. Needs a league cup run (even win) to stay for 25-26 IMO if we don’t get Europe through league. Keep wanting him to pull it around, but he’s not helping himself.
-
Even more so when you’ve got Joelinton / Burn who are tall powerful guys, then Schar / Isak (or Wilson) and Tonali who are useful for their height, it’s even worse. We just have piss all about us at corners, it’s just Sunday league stuff. Twat it in and hope.
-
You can let slide results where it’s wasteful play, but full strength, and not mustering a single shot on target (and just one off target) to a poor Palace side who will be battling relegation, is proper alarm bells.
-
Tonali / Isak / Bruno / Gordon. One off target shot. JUST WHAT. Howe was all about attacking football, and that’s just seemingly draining(ed) away.
-
Wanted a win at any cost, and close to it, by my god when it doesn’t happen and you have have one fucking shot all game, Howe is now under pressure as performances like that can only be excused if you shit house a win.
-
Is this performance worse than the 2-0 there last season?
-
LOL
-
Yep. Said in pre match, this game is just about getting a win and back on track, don’t care how it comes.
-
-
Gordon new contract got some clause that says he has to start 90% of games if available or he’s paid X amount? Or something of that ilk
-
Full strength though in terms of key players, so a real test for what we can produce. Just feels zero excuses today. Get that win, regardless of how it’s played.
-
Gordon over Barnes is a bold call by Howe, giving his form. Gordon has to repay the faith today for me, otherwise he can have zero complaints if he’s dropped for next 3+ games. Bloody hope Tonali is central, and we get a Bruno / Joelinton right side link up.
