Not surprised he wants out, and hopefully we don’t try and keep him. Great servant for what he’s giving, but it’s the right time to part our ways. He’s only going to get worse on pitch and let’s remember the good times rather than continued poor form which will happen.

Rowe for 14m is a bargain. Easy flip at worse and not sure why we’ve or any prem club in fact made a play.
-
I was thinking we must be a day away from being linked to Maguire.
-
Probably the easier position to cash in, replace and not disturb the actual system.
-
I’d say it’s less of a problem for a manager because the remit is often different. For a DoF to go to previous club / specific agents, it’s red flags for me.
-
There’s very little good examples of a DoF signing players from a previous club / connections that turn out good long term.
-
More for DoF. When they go to targeting players from ex clubs, dealing with connections from previous clubs, it’s a red flag for me. Chelsea for example have signed a silly amount of players from clubs people in their boardroom have connections with.
-
Think that’s unfair, and a very high opinion that Chelsea squad is packed with talent. Tosin has shown more promise than Fofana, who’s now into his 5th season and probably will break down again. Think it’s more Maresca isn’t keen because he’s not suitable for his style, which is more on the manager rather than actual ability.
-
Said in other thread, red flag for me if we’re even genuinely considering Diasi, as that’s just Mitchell going with someone he knows. Never go for previous players you’ve worked with. Going to be a right shit show these next 10 days. RW links have gone altogether, so that’s Almiron and Murphy for the season.
-
Diasi is a red flag for me. Stay away from previous players at clubs Mitchell, thank you.
-
Jokes aside, I can imagine him going out on loan in January, probably to someone like Ipswich
-
I think it's fair to question what is happening this summer, and come September, I'm sure in the international break there will be some comms either directly or in-directly from the club that outlines what the situation has been and plans moving forward. Think this week will determine if club persists with signing Guehi, or ditches the CB option and puts the money and effort into a RW and gamble that we can get through to January when Botman is back and then make it to summer (if an opportunist chance doesn't come in January).
-
Any links with anyone or anything? Proper shite this. Just waiting for an injury to someone later this week and it be panic stations in the boardroom to get a deal done.
-
Well that’s a top class keeper missed out because we had to do some proper shit PSR crap and now have a goalkeeper who cost half of Marma and is behind Dubravka.
-
At this point, just sign Chalobah for £25m. We’re going to need two new CBs over next 12 months, and one at £25m who can also cover RB long term is a reasonable fall back. Giving Chelsea have literally cast him to one side to get him off the books, there must be a chance of a loan with obligation to buy next season.
-
Barca need to make room, and he’s pissed off with Barca. Better to move then activate a 2 year extension and be stuck somewhere that’s not enjoyable.
-
Chinese owners really have shut up shop at Wolves.
-
Gundogan on a free transfer? Opportunist move for 2 year deal do people feel? Experienced head for players like Miley to learn from, and try and get into coaching set up post retirement.
-
I mean, just conceding possession at home is dumb and not sustainable long term. Not going to read too much into first game or games. It’s 5+ in where we should be settled down fitness and cohesion wise, and if we’re turning in home performances like Luton / Forest / Southampton of past 8 months, then there’s concerns.
-
Watching Fulham against Man Utd, McTominay won’t help Fulham with the ball at all which I feel they need more. Another player great on counter, but feels they need someone else in there. Cairney offered what Fulham needed, but he’s getting on and just not at the required level for Premier League.
-
Yea, none of the players that have been with England all summer will be up and running properly till mid September. And with Gordon, it’s a good thing, rather he’s at peak fitness come game 31-36 and not out on his feet. Carsley first squad will be interesting. Should see Gordon in there and starting as he’ll be one of the players who will know what Carsley wants on the pitch.
-
I’m resigned to this transfer not happening now, and at this point, despite being a fan, rather it didn’t how it’s gone. Just got to hope the back up option turns out to be a gem and we don’t look back.
-
Leicester problem is more spending and outgoings going beyond what they bring in, and owners not fancying topping things up much more. Will do them well to climatise otherwise they could end up in a right mess. Signing likes of Skipp just dumb business.
-
Doku so crap. We could end up spending £50m on someone with an output as bad as Almiron but because they’re from abroad they’re fancied.
-
Some sitter that.
