Yep, especially in modern game where pressing and intensity is needed at top level. So players will drop off at an earlier age at the top, whereas the 00s you could still have wingers 33+ playing because it wasn’t the same press and intensity needed at the top. Defending could be the opposite, where game is more possession less recovery sprints, you should ‘in theory’ be able to stay at top end into mid 30s.

Having a full back that’s capable of taking on players opens up attacking areas as much as Trippier passing does, both impact in different ways.

Tino equally offers so much for us in a different way.
