Longstaff will get hate as a sub, but he's needed for one of them if we're staying same and need a CM to crash into the box.

Probably sees a move back to us in future too, considering we will be one of the top clubs.

When we're winning we don't change XI and it's hard to argue against. But every time it does eventually lead to a game like this where the players are complacent. Said it before in our transfer business, we need players where we can rotate things to keep players sharp and fighting for first team places. That half smacks of players that knew they were starting on Monday.

Route one to Isak, absolute nothing ball and we're back without the ball. Unsustainable when we end up in games where that's our approach. Just gives momentum all to opposition.

Feels this is sort of game where we miss Gordon. Can take ball in his own half and go past people, rather than us needing to rely on going direct to get up the pitch.

Got games which is the main thing. Think being with squad first half of season and loan 2nd half should be plan for him again. See if he then takes a step up where the viability of him being a back up LB for 26/27 is a possibility.

Do think if we could get Trafford / Guehi for £60m-£65m that would be superb business. Even more so if they were wrapped up by end of June. Then can leave circa £80m-£100m (depending who we can move on and how much we want to push things this summer) to sign RW / ST / CM. Which feels more than enough because they’re positions you can pick up good value.

What LW options are available and realistic? Like could Howe view Gordon / Barnes as a RW options and so it opens up LW as a buy? Which I would then be looking at Jamie Gittens.

He’s disappointed me. Wanted him last summer, but didn’t seem to make the step up I was hoping. He’s better off staying at Ipswich and getting some confidence back whilst still developing.
