  1. For all the strikers we’ve tried, Bowen should be one, but he doesn’t want to leave London. Maybe this result tells him not to waste his final good few seasons playing for shit and to take UCL football.
  2. Puts Sunderland result into perspective when they needed some low xg headers to score goals.
  3. Get to see if he moves more then he did for us.
  4. Potter won’t last to October. Lose to Forest away which is very on giving how poor they are dealing with pace on counters, it’s then Spurs at home. Lose a 2nd London Derby at home, especially to Spurs, the boos will be so loud there’s no coming back.
  5. Pacqueta has shown his good and his terrible this game. Costing West Ham goals.
  6. All that money spent and they’ve got a shit keeper still.
  7. I prefer Elanga for our play, just a shame how it’s aligned we’ve not been in a position to make that move. Hopefully Everton go down so he’s available again next summer
  8. He moved when he was 18, clearly too young too early.
  9. Nuno not happy with the type of player coming in? Wanted more power on who does come and been vetoed?
  10. Already did it, but then the Prem sides bottled it as other leagues didn't follow suit and they didn't want their hand being weakened in trying to move on players.
  11. He’s done well in Spain, and there is a player in there. Probably type that will never work in Prem, but enough about him to be a strong signing for Dortmund at the low value he’d cost.
  12. Feels that was the diplomatic response from Howe was hinting at, in terms of if he was badly advised. Isak does stay, getting new representation would be a "holds hands up, accept, move on in the short term".
  13. He would logical in the sense he can cover RB for this season, but with a long term view in mind of replacing Schar squad place next summer (Achaempong, Thiaw RCBs, Burn, Botman LCBs).
  14. He needs a new contract by early next year, so it comfortably puts to bed any England chances. That's the only risk we have, which can be nipped quick if Howe isn't sold on the idea of England yet.
  15. Right, lets get some rumours going on who could be the full back signing by end of window. Who's out there that's realistic. Loan with obligation to buy end of season (Hall style), experienced pick up (Trippier style), or just outright splurge on someone for £20m+?
  16. We're 100% signing a full back as the final deal by end of window which I'm delighted about.
  17. A new contract and a release clause of £100m to European side, £130m to a Prem side would be logical to me (if you could get him on a new deal). Chances are Liverpool go elsewhere by end of window, so the prem move is then gone.
  18. If he stays, does well (as in a 15+ prem season and scores goals in UCL), I'd start to wager more money that Bayern and Real Madrid will come to the table for £100m+. The talk around Bayern is looking for a Kane replacement as he has one year left next summer. Could get £50m+ back from the Prem for him and sign a younger striker (German guy the linked one this summer). Real Madrid, reality will set in they have to choose one of Mbappe or Vini long term. Mbappe the logical one, meaning he moves LW and they need a star striker. It'll then be between Haaland and Isak, and Isak would be the far more attainable one both in terms of transfer fee and wages.
  19. Bid likely this summer is only going to reach £130m mark. So it's two options: Sell for circa £120m-£130m, panic replace on a striker we're not fully sold on for £60m+ Sell for circa £100m next summer, but have 12 months to decide who we really want as a long term striker as more opportunities become available across the season (managers moving, contract talks breaking down, clubs not doing well) and spend £65m+ The loss of £20m-£30m this summer is more than worth it, if it means more confidence on nailing the long term replacement.
  20. People need to stop assuming he was downing tools, guy was ragged as the 2nd half of season went on. Why we are trying to pursue an established talent for the 2nd striker spot. From connecting the dots as best as you can I probably see it as: Isak informed Howe he's open to leaving this summer and giving someone he respects an early heads up so it doesn't disrupt (lol) plans too much and it's not a shock when bid comes (likely as his agent has said Liverpool and Arsenal are both in the market for a top end striker) We then knowing a bid could come in for Isak, look to prioritise a more top end striker in case that does happen, so move for Pedro missed out. Then move for Etitike, miss out to Liverpool. This then is when Isak agent comes into the play, likely pissed that Liverpool have moved for Etitike first and not Isak (with Arsenal going elsewhere) Liverpool make a play, we reject, all kicks off. We meantime now are looking at two strikers, one as a Wilson replacement in case Isak stays, but also a top end one in case we have to sell Isak. Howe and Isak talking, things all good between them and aim to keep it behind closes doors. Miss out on Sesko, Wissa ongoing. Isak agent makes a play that promises were broken (no promises were made), played out now in public. Howe / club / players want Isak to stay, door firmly open, and unless things suddenly fall into place over next 72 hours (we have two strikers lined up, Liverpool offer big for Isak), he stays and he's reintegrated.
  21. Probably also assurance a new contract is there to reflect his importance if he wants to stay.
  22. That's left way open. Romano and the gang to tweet away now today that an offer will come on Tuesday and Isak is expecting it to be accepted. Going to be who blinks first really. We are not looking likely to bring in a striker we want, so either we keep him and Isak blinks and comes back next week, or we blink first in fear that Isak literally won't come back all season and sell even though we won't replace him this summer.
  23. Won the title with Nunez as part of their striker collection. Cunts could go and sign Wissa for £45m and win title and be £100m better off to spend elsewhere.
  24. Signed a £80m striker, but not signing another £140m striker will cost them the title
