  1. It’s not three games in either, he’s been in charge for like 40 games, and they’ve been consistently crap in all of them. Should’ve went out to Lyon in Europa QF, and he wouldn’t then have the SF and F appearance as a fall back. There’s been 0% redeemable about his spell in charge. Potter has done more, and he’s one game away from being sacked.
  2. Looking at pots, should back ourselves at home to all sides we can get in pots 2/3/4 and away to sides in 3 &4.
  3. My preference for both enjoyable games and strong chances of going through Real Madrid (H) Bayern Munich (A) Atalanta (H) Leverkusen (A) Napoli (H) Ajax (A) Kairat (H) Union (A)
  4. Find it all so enjoyable. Ratcliffe got Ashworth, Man Utd fans were wanking themselves silly about ‘getting one over us’. Ratcliffe then ignored Ashworth advice last summer that they should focus on Prem based players and a prem based manager to stabilise and transition. Then when Ratcliffe put forward Amorim, Ashworth questioned it as he didn’t think squad would be suitable for him and required big changes which club can afford. Ratcliffe then sacks Ashworth a few months after getting him, spends a load to get Amorim in early (who didn’t want to come in till end of season), Man Utd fans laud the decision and laugh at Ashworth, Ratcliffe then sacks a load of staff, wanker, then sees Amorim preside of more record breaking runs and not get Europe. Then backs him with 200m+ worth of players, whilst Amorim throws more players under the bus and thus bombing their value, just to then start season poorly and see one cup competition end before the transfer window is even shut. Ratcliffe now has to potentially spend a load sacking Amorim staff, and further continue his ownership run which is going as well as his ownership of Nice. But hey, he’s a Manchester United fan.
  5. Make sure I get a ticket this time for when we get to final.
  6. LOVE IT! Get to fuck Ratcliffe! So funny he now has to spend to sack Amorim
  7. Love how much people wanked themselves silly over Amorim. Genuinely a proper shite manager.
  8. If we sold Isak and spend £100m+ on signing Larsen and Wissa, who the fuck do we have next summer or even summer after to move on for a fee to move in the market if we want to keep Tino / Hall / Bruno G / Tonali at all costs. Effectively the only ones with value would be Gordon (if he recovers this season) or Joelinton (if PIF buy him, but then we can’t book that PSR I don’t think?).
  9. It’s likely only going to get worse though as he’s clear back up to Burn. Stop start season with injuries and getting less than 1000 mins football isn’t going to increase value and we have to commit to a new contract. Think there’s valid reasoning to potentially cash in if it’s a reasonable offer £30m+ I said last summer we should go for the squad blow up, didn’t happen. Wonder at this point with everything that’s happened with Isak, we could be inclined to going with the squad blow up this summer and get it over with? Isak, Botman, Willock, Lascelles all out (to join Longstaff, Targett, Dubs) and a mental final 5 days where we sign a load of players with acceptance this season is a massive transition.
  10. Do think people are way too OTT on Silva. Moved to a foreign country when he was 18 in middle of COVID. Had G/A every 200 mins in his first prem season and seemingly ended well when he was being a regular, then Nuno left and he was straight away discarded by new manager, before then following seasons going on multiple loans around Europe. Last season was his first full settled season and it showed in his overall data and he got his first cap. He’ll surprise a lot of people this season at Dortmund once he gets settled giving how little people think of him
  11. I mean, if we can’t sign a striker, why not sign a LW and have Gordon as a permanent striker
  12. It’s not throwing it, as Howe has never thrown cup games. But it’s if we went out away to say Brentford because we went with a starting XI of: Ramsdale: Trippier, Thaiw, Botman, Murphy: Miley, Willock, Ramsey: Murphy, Osula, Gordon I’m not losing much sleep, as it will be quickly followed by a more important league game and another big UCL game.
  13. Not really fussed about League Cup this year. Been to two finals, won it. FA Cup is the competition I want us to go all the way in.
  14. Sounds all too familiar with Wissa. Wants to join. We’ve bid. Only a few mil away in valuation.
  15. If he stays, he’ll be getting like Osula minutes up to Jan. The new striker will be primary guy, Isak will be coming on for a few mins when game is gone (either as a win or a defeat).
  16. If it’s Chris wood all over again, I’d rather we went cheaper end with view of selling in 12 months. Like if Sorloth was available for £25m, sign him for 12 months, then look to sell for £20m next summer after a 1 in 3 return. That type of signing.
  17. Then the players we have been after: Larsen - No reason for Wolves to sell and be left short. He scores 15 this season, that same fee is there next summer. Wissa - Clear reason to sell, but has to be £50m+, which with 12+12 months left, is that in best interest for Newcastle United? Jackson - Clear reason to sell, but likely is £50m+ as it gets later in window. Think this is the one that I’m not keen on, but becomes more viable as each day passes as Chelsea need a sell and terms becomes more better for us as a result. Watkins - Unknown.
  18. His contract would be agreed already with Liverpool. Which is funny, as he’d have agreed around £275k+ mark, where now Liverpool probably regret that and can’t back track to get it a bit lower (giving how little pre season he has done / conduct / only club in for him). Just from our end, it’s do we want to rush our own signings just to appease Liverpool and Isak? I doubt it. As Howe said before, what we do will always be in best interest of Newcastle United.
  19. Without derailing another thread about him, but I think at this point we stand firm and he either comes back or he stays on sideline and we sell in January, even if it’s for £110m. Think if clubs (PSG / Real Madrid) are giving a few more months to plan things, they’ll want to make a move.
  20. Of all the players we’ve chased, I think it’s time to throw a £50m bid in for Bowen and see how he reacts after last night.
  21. Sibierski

    Nick Pope

Huh? I’m not saying he was at fault for any of them Just if people are moaning about Pope last night, it should be for his kicking only that we all know anyway that was only issue.
  22. Two signings by end of window and Isak to stay before being sold in January to prove a point.
  23. Bit I hate about it, they were doing long throws first And going long just as much as us first 15 as Gakpo was getting joy against Trippier. Hes just crying about it as it deflects from how shit they were 2nd half against 10 men and couldn’t control the game still.
