Was the decision wrong, or was it corrupt. That's what we always ask when something as blatant as this happens. The Rodri handball for instance, there wasn't any way that it couldn't have been given, yet that was the case Just fed up of self-titled big clubs getting decisions like this, been going on since the advent of 'Barclays Premier League live on Sky'

He plays the exact same way when 'injury-free' so I don't buy it either. Even if he doesn't have the ability at least be hard in the tackle like Anderson is.
-
Need Olise or someone similar (in a Bernardo Silva mould) who can not only chip in with goals but provide something direct from the right. Has Almiron ever crossed or put a decent ball into the box? No wonder he gets no assists. At last Murphy is a great crosser and with also being homegrown is worth keeping as 4th choice winger.

Job's fucked Chelsea have a team full of kids by the way, Madueke was still raw and not first choice for PSV, Mudryk had 20 good games in Ukrainian league. Defence is made up of average defenders that are never going to get a game for France. Let's not pretend the billion makes them world beaters, we should be ahead of them

Bizarre, best striker we've had since Shearer and people have a go at him
-
He is, he's completely uninvolved in half the games he plays in (brilliant in the other half!) and is poor at hold up play in comparison to Wilson.
-
He and Isak played all of the 2nd half of last season together, he scored 18 goals... He's our best striker IMO, Isak is anonymous half the time. It doesn't help Wilson when he comes back and is thrown straight in. He came back in December and played 4 games in 12 days which was stupid.
-
With that in mind we aren't going to get someone as capable as Wilson in this next transfer window, whilst also signing 5 other positions. He ought to be kept for another season (with a young 3rd choice brought in cheap).
-
If we finish 8th then serious questions need to be raised about him tactically. Definitely mitigating circumstances this season but I have big doubts about this uber-press style and it's ability to win big games and sustain throughout a season going forward. We have very little control in games. If he starts next season poorly i'd be looking at Hoeness or Fonseca come November time.
-
I'm surprised at the number of people who want rid like. Bloke is deadly, one of the top 5 strikers in the league. He'll rotate with Isak next year and score 15 goals again. Give him to another PL team and you strengthen them and weaken us for a fee that just wouldn't be worth it. He's only 32 man, not 36.

Manchester United 3-2 Newcastle United (15/05/24) | Reaction: pg 53

Still should have had what was a stonewall pen, Isak should've scored, Gordon/Almiron should've scored, Longstaff definitely should've scored. But was just an all round awful performance. We let them control midfield and didn't change it up at half time. The defending for the goals was sunday league. -
Who thought that? I thought he was technically more capable than Diame and Hayden, which he was, and a good grafter. Mark Noble level tops.

Lewis Hall to miss rest of season with foot injury (Official)

Our best player last 2 games. Decision making is getting better and he has all the technical ability in the world. For all the bluster they were making about that Diallo he did nothing apart from 3 shots from the edge of the box from corners, Hall kept him facing the other way the whole game. -
Dreadfully average player. You can see the other players don't give the ball to him when there's another player near him, because he doesn't look before receiving the ball and is completely incapable under pressure. He also never knows what to do with the ball when he gets it, and is powderpuff in every challenge. I'd sell immediately come summer. Miley and Anderson are already better than him technically and Anderson is stronger.

Shit defending that. Terrible performance, sack the lot of them. -

Am I correct in thinking they've stuck McTominay up top? Diallo and Garnacho will be a test on the wings. Can't underestimate these. Get at the fat Brazil lad at the back. -
Regarding offsides automating it like in Qatar/CL would speed it right up. It's the subjective decisions that change from ref to ref (or week to week in some cases) that are the issue. They need to stop this extra 18 minutes of added time malarkey - no wonder players are getting ACLs weekly - their knees must be buckled.
-
Annoying that PSG have earned something like 107m from the champions league this season, despite only winning 5 games. They don't get that dodgy pen, we go into the last game needing a point for 2nd rather than a point for 3rd. They then played an under-par-this-year Sociedad and Barca - we would have raked the cash in from those games.

Howe won't but I'd start Joelinton and Anderson in this one. Gordon and Barnes on t'wings. -
I'd be looking at this summer: Backup GK - sell Dubravka, release Karius LB - sell Targett - Sergi Cardona on a free? CB - Tosin free + a project player, release Dummett CDM - out and out robust DM - sell Longstaff, release Hendrick/Hayden RW - an Anthony Gordon-esque signing, sell Almiron, keep Minteh around as U21/rotation Young CF - for Academy with view of making it to the bench during the season
-
I'm big on the signing of Tosin as he has pace, is decent on the ball is a good blend of Lascelles & Schar. Underlying stats show: Interceptor, keeps possessions well, wins most headers Accurate short passes similar to Botman/Gabriel High up on long passes (but behind Schar/Andersen/Van Dijk) He's also only missed 12 games in 5 years which was a single groin injury. Very against the signing of Kelly. He's missed 89 games in the past 5 seasons (just under half!) with a variety of injuries. His skillset is similar to Burn but his underlying stats are concerning: Not many tackles/interceptions, tends to keep it simple, wins half of his competed headers, lots of inaccurate long balls, and just few passes in general. Smells like a basic player who doesn't get involved in the play much. Whoscored lists passing and crossing as a weakness. We already have Burn and Dummett - Kelly will be 26 soon so has 6 years on them but I would sooner we got Tosin + an out and out left back and/or young centre back. In fairness Bournemouth fans think he's solid enough, he doesn't have a rick in him - just would be a bit underwhelmed by the signing as defence is definitely an area we need to up the quality and simultaneously bring down the average age.
