Honestly lads, I just think it’s time to change. The team has been on the slide since the cup final, we barely got over the line last season; and the cup performances have been papering over the cracks. The league is your bread and butter and should be prioritised, realistically knockout stages of the champions league is as far as we’ll get. Same with domestic cups, we shouldn’t be sacrificing performances in the league for trying to progress in cup competitions that currently we stand zero chances of qualifying for next season. There’s tonnes of other issues as well regarding how predictable we are tactically, issues with our formation, the recurring issues of players not being dropped who fail to perform, switching off during games, the set piece coach who’s stealing a living, players brought in at Eddie’s insistence who have taken us backwards. I genuinely do hope that this is the kick up the arse the manager and the team need to start performing, and hope I’m proved wrong but I’m just not seeing it.

Second that, Miggy failing to create and recycle the ball…. little did we realise how spoilt we were 😂 Nothing compared to Elanga losing the ball 20 times in 60 minutes, mostly in our half.

Team selection ie choice of wingers is what fucked us really. Start with the subs that came on and I think we’d have controlled the game through sheer quality.

Apart from that spell after the first goal we’ve looked incredible, Elanga looks like he’s finally getting some confidence, Burn has Barry in his back pocket; some great progressive passing from Miley and ball retention from Joelinton. Not to mention there’s no outlet to an overlapping full-back ie Lewis Hall as Burn doesn’t get that far forward due to lack of pace. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not happy with Gordon’s performances but he never plays well when Burn is at left back. That’s not a shot at Burn either, he’s been magnificent for us; but we certainly need appropriate cover for Hall as BDB isn’t the answer and it’s been proven time and time again. Gordon like a lot of wingers is a confidence player and it seems like after a shit first 15 his head went down and he just wrapped.
