Probably echoing a lot of lads here. Thought that lads gave it a good crack, first half we matched them all across the pitch and arguably had the better of the chances. Barnes is still looking out of form. Slightly disappointed he’s not made the most of Gordon being suspended like he did last season. Feel for Fab, he basically got sparked out and was probably feeling the effects when he gave Rashford the space for the first goal. Willock put in the effort but once he came in we lost the midfield battle. Not that J7 was on top form, the petty early card was frustrating. Big Nick had some great link up play, mega promising that he’s slotted well last couple of games. Elanga put some great balls in, and Murphy too. Typical Rashford breaks his CL draught against us. Just goes to show how utterly dogshit Manure are currently as that’s yet another player who’s left and started playing well. Reckon a solid 7/10 was looking pretty fucking shaky for weeks, there’s still glaring weaknesses in the squad which need addressed but will see how the new signings play out. We definitely seem to have more (much needed) depth in the squad now, hopefully the drop off won’t be as traumatic now when there’s injuries/rotation. Reckon Woltemade may take a season to settle in but his attitude and his existing skill set plus Eddie’s coaching; there’s every reason to be positive. Ideal that we’ve signed Wissa as well, fingers crossed he gives us double figures whilst Big Nick settles in.
