There isn't much point in having Directors of Football and layers of management and then appointing a manager for the football team. That position shouldn't and increasingly doesn't exist. Almorin was appointed as first team coach the main reason he's been sacked IMO is because at the weekend he claimed he was the manager and hadn't any intention of staying after his contract ran out. Eddie is also officially the first team coach, this summer in the vacuum at the club he was allowed to be the defacto manager which resulted in us having such a poor transfer window.

Show that he can tactically evolve away from a 433, stop relying on Tindall and Jones and implement some new ideas and tactics, stop buying players like Ramsey, Elanga and Ramsdale who don't improve us at all. Get rid of the dead wood when they can still be sold for more than peanuts, play two strikers together at least once, find a way to get Woltemade more involved and productive, hammer the mackems at SJP, teach Gordon how to shoot, teach Livramento how to cross, don't play Dan Burn at LB etc. etc. Everything I've written seems reasonable to me.

Until the end of the season yes.

Anyhow back to Burnley, it would be nice to get the three points, but even better would be to see us play some decent football and look as if we are learning some lessons both tactically and technically.

If you really think Eddie is the manager that's going to take us to the next level and regularly challenge at the top of the table than just say so. I don't think he is. Well Murphy and Barnes are the two wingers who contribute the most to the team so yes they should play more often than Gordon and Elanga. And yes the team is completely dysfunctional but that's down to the coach who I believe you are a big fan of?

I dont see how you can't be worried about Howe's coaching. A rigid 443 relying on productive wingers, no defensive midfielder, no attacking midfielder, certainly no number 10, a talented forward who gets virtually no support, and the only substitutions made are like for like, that all adds up to the currently mess that Bruno flagged recently.
