Gary Speed put his career going for so long at the top, down to going to Bolton.

Wissa, Elanga and a few more of that level if Isak leaves, probably gives us enough to compete for 5th again. That's going to be the best everyone else can expect now beyond the 4 who finished above us.
-
If Isak goes then we have no excuse not to get his replacement, CB, CM & GK (plus Wissa).

Mitchell left 3 weeks ago, club could have offered him that pay rise since then.
-
Such a shite question considering he won the World Cup like. I know it's technically correct but for a question like that you'd expect those 3 finals to be his best achievements and has always missed out on trophies.
-
Did he win it when they beat City?

Mitchell definitely being made the scapegoat like. Even if Isak wasn't happy with what he was being offered, he's now out the picture and we've known about 2 months now. Plenty opportunity for the club to say he fucked up, it's dealt with, here's what we offer. Personally feel Isak wants off regardless.

Can't be arsed to check but I bet Drogba's page doesn't look far off this.

We had about 15 fit players for half of the last campaign. Pretty certain if Isak goes, 3-4 quality players come in.
-
Assuming he's about as good as we could get as a replacement?
-
Not sure on that like. Tonali missed half of the last one, Hall & Livramento have more experience, Isak only scored 1 in that campaign.

Need to do and succeed in what Spurs failed with after they sold Bale. Eriksen was a big hit but the likes of Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue and Lamela were hit & miss. If we could pluck a Kane out of the academy in the next year or so it'd be a bit handy too like.

The pool of players is naturally small, though? We're in a position now where the next step up is the elite clubs in the world. To get into that, the signings we make need to be good enough for those clubs. PSR means we can't. I think We've literally hit our wall now and it's rotten that it's regulations that are stopping us from getting those players.

I really worry about our defence if we don't sign a centre-back mind. Two have barely played for 18 months and the other two lack pace and are getting older.

Wouldn't say fucked over, but similar to Ginola's red v Arsenal, that was the turning point from world class performances, to good/very good performances, but it's made him an obvious position to upgrade now.
