Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

Probably complaints in 12 months time about why we didn't just sign him permanently this summer and not given Chelsea the chance to swoop in. -
Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

Two decent/good seasons at Arsenal but always been cannon fodder other than that spell at the likes of Sheff Utd, Bournemouth & Southampton. I think he'll be a good signing and would give him the number 1 shirt. -
Ironically, Jackson 2 years ago fits the exact profile a lot on here want us to sign now.
-
Thought the forum would be fun again after the Cup win. *Les Dennis* * pluhh pluhhhhhh* I was wrong..
-
Nah, we need a bit of perspective like. Ultimately we're the 5th best team in the league and we're kicking off because the best striker in the league wants to go somewhere else and we're finding it hard to sign top 4 players on our budget.
-
You can fuck off too..
-
Can't be arsed with this shite like. Worst enemy is our fans. Fuck off.
-
You're talking absolute shite mate. Botman, Hall, Livra, Bruno, Jo, Tonali is at a worst case scenario a top 7 team with an inevitable striker if Isak goes. Get a fucking grip man.
-
You've literally just said we're bottom half.
-
Fucking idiot.. l
-
Makes negotiations a helluva easier when you have something they want, though, compared to other clubs who'll know you have £120m burning a hole in your pocket trying to rinse you.
-
£100m plus Nunez, Elliott and a clear run at Guehi.
-
If he'd just come out and said we can't give him what he wants, he wants to sign for a club who are currently more likely to win major honours and pay more, there's not much we could have said against it. I don't like the way he's gone about it but it gives hope that he'll still be ours that he hasn't came in with the transfer request etc.
-
The fact as soon as we have a bid accepted, they match it, gives quite a bit of support to the "theory".
-
I think if PSR doesn't change, he goes in the next year or two. Easily good enough for Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, where he would have the funds available to go that next step himself.
-
During the documentary, Shearer said in narration that we were the richest club in the world numerous times. I'm assuming Staveley/PIF would have signed off on that since it was basically their propaganda piece.
-
Think we got Krafth this way? He was on loan, signed for the French club, then sold him on for a profit same window..
-
Players can still say no. I'm assuming Trafford isn't forced to join City just because they matched our offer anyway.
-
I still think those three choose Bayern, Real Madrid & Liverpool mind but the likes of Trafford & Guehi who I think wanted to come, we'd have went for the £30m & £65/70m last year if no PSR. Plus the two outgoings don't happen. It's not Man City/Chelsea levels but I think it'd have been significant enough for us to have finished 2nd/4th and been closer to adding the FA Cup to the Carabao.
-
We'd likely have Anderson, Minteh & Guehi added to the current squad without PSR. I doubt it'd be all guns blazing on the likes of Mbappe but it'd still be significant. I think we'd have the big names on higher wages, too.
