Wasn't there a report when he was signing that we're going to keep him at the club rather than a loan, so he counts as a home grown player in Europe when he's older?

Maybe we need to change our outlook? If players still see us as a bit of a stepping stone move, go for squad players of the big clubs who are clearly good enough, but want to play more?

Yep, and it's where we're hamstrung even more. Those clubs can take expensive punts knowing they can just go again the next year. We have to have a 90% success rate in the market to even attempt to keep up. It's all bollocks.
