Yeah aesthetically it's the worst home kit in our history for me like. Fond memories of it in the 92/3 season because of how we did, but if Adidas rolled that out now as a brand new idea there'd be uproar.

It was just a joke.

That's us accepting we're in that 7-10th bracket. We overspent to try and buy the guaranteed numbers needed to stay in the Champions League. -

We would have been thinking we're buying sure things. Both to get around 15-20 g/as like they did the year before. We'd have pissed 4th if they've managed even half of that. That would have been worth a £100m spend or whatever it was. -

Not a criticism of the club at all by the way. If this is what we have to do, then that's fine. It's purely on these shite fucking regulations to protect the cartel clubs forcing us into this. -

If we're in a position to spend that much on a project player then superb. I can just see why we paid £100m on Elanga & Wissa, in the hope they'd replicate their previous season's numbers for us and keep us treading water in the top 5 or 6. This just feels like we're accepting the 7-9th place model. -

It feels like that Rick & Morty episode with his mini universe thing. Rick is the cartel, we have the means to be bigger and outgrown them but no, back to our little box we crawl because they'll not allow anything different. -

2-3 years time if he's smashed it, Man Utd, etc will just come along, pay £60m because they can, double his wages because they can, and that's that. It's fucking shite. -

I know we need to make this sort of signing, but it's the first big bit of proof that we're closer to the Brightons & Brentfords than the Cartel (yes, cartel, Froggy). Sad, man.. -
Just more driftwood from the academy leaving without making an impact.
-
Capology is pointless for football man. They had Fraser Forster as Bournemouth's training keeper on £40k a week last season.
-
Rare example of a signing who didn't work out in the end but got a soft spot for.
-
Always seemed to have a great sense of humour and comes across here. Brilliant.

Fuck man.

I think we can afford one more "big" sale, any more than that and it'll start to get worrying. I think it'll be Tonali, Tino & Hall staying.
-
Why not? We were owned by him for 14 years while they spent above their means anyway.
-
Not sure what rules there can be, but Coventry should be able to spend the same as Man City, Chelsea & Man Utd if they have the funds.
-
Villa were sniffing around Elanga last summer ironically.
-
We have one bad season off the pitch and it'll set us back, you have two bad seasons, you brush it off and it's like nothing has happened.

Hate that I'm going to have to start disliking him now. Cunt.. -

Wonder if they were aware of it and let him do it? -
I do think we're in a better position than Villa despite last season. We have 4-5 players (Inc Gordon) who could probably fetch a £60-80m fee. As TCD says, Villa have a lot of first-teamers in the late 20s-early 30s bracket. Rogers is their one big saleable asset. If we do it correctly over the next 2-4 years we should be signing 1.5 to 2 first-team ready players per big sale. Get better at selling the purple-patch players and we can kick on definitely.
