  1. That'd be a tough one to take. Ideally we keep him as if we're looking overseas for a cheaper Gordon replacement, we're likely going to need him to start a fair few games while he settles.
  2. I think we'd have stayed up, not as emphatically as we did under Howe though.
  3. This is what they want, like. Might as well just cut to the chase, let Man Utd, Arsenal & Liverpool keep the title between them and the rest of us will feed on their scraps.

    Joe Willock

Don't see an issue here? If he just stands and does nothing noone says a thing as the ball's nowhere near him, but because he raises a leg, it's lazy? Jesus fucking Christ man, I know he's been crap but people love to pick.
  5. I just meant one, sorry. Schar or Burn plus Stones. We really should be in for one of him or Senesi. We're awful at the loan/Free market.
  6. Not re-signing both Burn & Schar would have freed up about 50% of the wage needed for Stones you'd imagine.
  7. Stones on a free feels like a Villa sort of signing and he'll be class.
  8. You just know they're going to make sure they're everyone's football friends on their way trips next season the gimps.
  9. We finish top 8 this season with a good GK. Probably get top 5 if you add a good striker. That's even with all the other problems we've had.
  10. Mentioned him near the start of the season but Senesi on a free would have been the perfect signing to phase out Burn or Schar this year. Now linked with Juventus, Chelsea & Barcelona out of contract.
  11. Leeds were doing well.
  12. We've got a manager whose ruffled their feathers for 3 out of 4 seasons. Some fucking ask for the next fella to do the same. I'm happy giving him a chance to put it right.
  13. Are you calling him a liar?
  14. I'll do it then. Our squad when Howe inherited it was worth half than the big 5. He's spent less than them and still closed the gap up until this season. He's done a phenomenal job.
  15. Now do squad values/costs in September 2022.
  16. We were very much between a rock and a hard place last year I think, though. The whole Isak farce aside, we were targeting players to take us the next step to challenge the big 4-5. We could have went for the Bournemouth/Brentford/Sunderland model, finished 7th, gave ourselves a nice oat on the back and moved on, but I think Pif expect more than that. We might have to adopt that model now.
  17. Finishing below the teams 6-11th (bar Chelsea) is inexcusable yes.
  18. But it's not downplaying his achievements when he started with a squad that probably cost 30-40% of those clubs, he's spent the same or less, yet it's only Man City & Arsenal he's not finished higher than at some point. The first £200-250m at least would have just closed the gap a bit on those clubs before they even began to spend more than we have even since then.
  19. A year ago I think he'd have been nearly top of most lists. I reckon he has another 1-2 years here and goes to his boyhood club Everton next after Moyes finishes, before eventually going to England.
  20. No idea but he might have spoken to someone who is. Just with this and saying Miley new contract in a short space of time.
  21. You said that pretty much to play down his achievements, otherwise it was a worthless comment.
  22. I'm trusting you LFEE. £10 put on at 14s for them to go down. Would have thought if this was going to happen the bookies would have had a tip-off though.
  23. So we might see a Mackem in Milan.
  24. That season we drew a lot of games we should have won. This season we've lost a lot of games we should have drawn.
  25. But it's an irrelevant comment in that case.
