  1. His first touch looks absolutely terrible, Delap looks a better player technically, and Delap doesn't look like ever being world class. With good coaching could be a very useful striker...either way, considering we need a right winger, an incisive attacking midfielder, at least 1 center back, I'd hope we sign either a RW or attacking mid who can play striker, like Mbuemo. Ideally we'd want a couple youngsters good enough to improve the bench in midfield and either forward or defence. We need a lot to maintain top 4/5 while also playing in Europe. Wonder if we could get away with a 150mil net spend...or if Mitchell can pick up a couple of positions for 30-40 instead of 50-60. Always wondered why we havent heard much of hiring new scouts to have a constant presence all over Europe and occasionally in South America
  2. To me he's looked completely different since he supposedly got offered to Liverpool, body language has been completely different since, he doesn't look at all like the enthusiastic lad he was the season before.
  3. It seems as though Man United have had a free run at Cunha which is mental, he's so decisive and takes responsibility for attacks like few others in the league. Delap I think is a good signing for 30 mil, but he's not amazing technically... his decision making will improve, well thats debateable if he goes to Manchester, don't know how much better technically he'll get. As for us being linked with DCL, but people saying Vardy would be ridiculous. Vardy all day. Great striker, DCL never showed he was a great striker. Vardy has every kind of finishing and his intelligence is unbelievable...and he's a winner, a leader. No brainer for me if we aren't spending real money on an out and out striker.
  4. Yea, as soon as it became obvious how tight things would be I wished we got any other bottom team rather than Everton, they're just the type of team that relish this scenario, and they have the ability if we're nervy or lax at all, and especially if we go 1-0 up and go into the second half Southgate style, it really worried me to see it last year, can't understand why its still happening. If you do that, you have to counter attack effectively. Mental how we play sometimes. Hopefully we qualify and Howe has some more options next year

    Joe Willock

Shame he couldn’t stay fit enough to be ready when a starting spot opened…has to go now surely, we badly need a quick attack minded midfielder. A fit Willock who’d improved even slightly over the years would have made such a difference
  6. It seems to me like he’s been totally different in body language and impact since whatever happened with the Liverpool transfer proposal. He seemed so happy at the club, he doesn’t seem the same lad at all. His game has become massively inconsistent to the point where how would you even sell him now, knowing how good heis capable of being, but that his value has dropped massively this year. Not that I’d want us to sell
  7. As crap as he's been if he gets something going for 5 or 10 minutes he can get us back in this on his own
  8. Why do we start second halves with such an inferiority complex, it always turns the game , Jesus. Does anyone else think Gordon's body language and level of sustained effort throughout matches has been noticeably worse since the Liverpool offer? That was very poor. On the other hand, Having one of Barnes or Gordon availble in advanced midfield is a tactic we need to use next year, just maybe not against top teams.
  9. Maybe DCL of 4 years ago, when we thought he might turn out to be a very good player, he hasn't had a clean run of games or looked good in years. Crazy to sign injury prone players, the more you get those types of injuries the more likely you suffer them with greater frequency and easier in future. We've had enough write offs, Willock had a warning sign on him, 2 serious knee and thigh issues before we signed him.Not only did Willock not improve, he's significantly worse as a player, it'd take a lot of luck to ever reach the levels he showed before even.
  10. Both class, Cunha seems to be one of those players who just takes the game, every time he gets the ball there's so much purpose, really stands out in the age of playing it safe.
  11. I respect Guehi far more than any of the players who just go along with whatever they're told, in case it lessens their next boot deal. When it comes down to it English players would play with a MacDonalds logo replacing the 3 Lions... 'as representatives of England, we know what the badge means to the fans, but we have to remember all the good MacDonalds does in not just our communities, but in developing nations and in supporting grassroots football. And big mac meals are what made me the footballer I am.' Not that I like Guehi for anything over 30mil, 'best English defender at the Euro's.... Maguire was technically Englands best defender for ages, means nothing in Southgate football
  12. Anyone else think we badly need a quick, technical player who can play central midfield as the furthest forward? Our counter attack isn't all that threatening which should improve with an Mbuemo level on the right, but many times this year we've been missing someone quick, who can dribble and pass on the counter, and has dribbling and playmaking qualities on the edge of the box. Too often its Joelinton bursting through, and when we need goals it breaks down far too often. Thought we looked our most fluid in ages that 1st half against Chelsea because Gordon was often available more infield closer to Sandro and Bruno.
  13. Rather we didn't roll the dice on a young French League goalie, especially one who'd be going to AFCONS. There's lots of goalies likely available without having to take that kind of punt. Kelleher (not sure how much better than Pope he'd turn out) Trafford, Lunin from Madrid. On another topic, Kang-in Lee. We were linked a couple times before, seems he may be moved this summer. Would offer real technical quality and attacking threat in attacking midfield and cutting in off the right. Of all the players I can think of, this would massively improve us. Like his work rate too, not afraid to get stuck in. Of course there's a big marketing aspect as well, draw huge attention from Asia. ,
  14. Delap would be a great signing and seems like a great addition to the dressing room, where thats not known with Sesko. Its Sesko at 60mil that would get me interested, if he played that well in the prem he's a 120mil player.
  15. Ibra 2.0 3 years ago 😅If we're signing a pure striker for more money than Delap at 30mil, its gotta be Sesko, one of the few strikers in the game that can compete with Isak.

    Harvey Barnes

Best football we've played in months was with the 3 wingers on the pitch, allowed Gordon or Barnes to drift inwards. We have very little attacking threat or fluidity thru the middle with the big 3 playing most games. Wish Joe could learn to attack, mad he was an attacker. Defo wouldn't sell Barnes, Gordon hasn't looked his usual self this year, probably the offering to the bin dippers.
