and the next goal by Wolte in the manner of a center forward.
-
Big Nick has just scored the 1-0 in the manner of a center forward. And that with the foot.
-
For me, he's currently our strongest defender. He was also the only bright spot in this very poor match against the Bees today.
-
I completely agree. Wolte is a very intelligent player with incredibly good passing skills. Unfortunately, there are too few teammates who reach his level. I think Barnes and Gordon are the most likely to complement him as wingers. I also don't understand why Bruno and Tonali don't play him in for one-twos more often.
-
He was asleep for the third goal. Like the rest of the team, his form in the Premier League is declining.
-
Pope started the season so strong, and I became a real fan of him. But for the last few games, his form has been declining, and his mistakes have contributed to our last two Premier League defeats. He's certainly a very good goalkeeper on the line. But he's very error-prone with high balls in the box.

Brentford 3-1 Newcastle United (09/11/25) | post-match from pg. 59

What a terrible second half. I'm disappointed in the team. Most of them are out of form. Their performances in the league are simply poor. The referee was bad. The penalty wasn't a penalty. So many little things went against our team. -
Nagelsmann isn't blind after all. Thiaw (3 caps) is back in the national squad for the first time since 2023 for the two matches on November 14th and 17th.

9-24 10-23 11-22 and so on. The winners then have a home game against a team from the top 8. -

Bayern are one of the title favorites for me this season. Vincent Kompany is doing a really great job and has forged a close-knit group out of the players. That wasn't the case before his time. They've become even more dominant in the Bundesliga this season. The first half against PSG was simply magnificent. Sixteen consecutive competitive wins. A very strong contender this year. -
After all the advance praise for Wissa, I'm very curious to see if he's really as good as you say. If so, he and Nick could make a fantastic duo.
-
That sums it up perfectly. Exactly my opinion.
-
That's exactly how it is.
-
No wonder his teammates aren't even able to pass to him in the final third or the box. I'm very disappointed with the midfield.
-
His market value is 35 million euros. Just like in 2019 when he became a magpie.

Today we may all be sad and disappointed, but tomorrow it will be "Howay the lads" again. -
He got a new nickname from me today after the first half - the Invisible One.
-
Yes, I have to agree with you there.
-
Okay, Pope didn't look good on the goals today. But he's been putting in really good performances up until today's game. And with the team's overall performance, we didn't deserve any points today. I've rarely seen such poor defending from the midfield. Just because of one weak performance, I'm not doubting Nick. He remains my first choice.
-
The suggestion about Wolte's fitness is too simplistic. It's better than anyone thinks. His lanky build and his movement style might lead you to believe he's tired. But I don't see it that way. Nick is very good at gauging his own abilities and managing his energy expenditure. Today, he would have been the only player in the second half who could have created a moment of brilliance. As a coach, I would have instructed him to stay in the box from the 60th minute onward and wait for that one perfect opportunity.

A match couldn't have started better. That makes the passivity of our midfield after taking the lead all the more appalling. Lame pressing, far too far away from their opponents. Easy goals conceded. And then strange substitutions. Woltemade is the only player who could have pulled off a brilliant move, and he's the one who stays in the locker room. Come on, Eddie, what was that all about? And Joelinton played the whole thing? He was practically invisible. More possession in the second half, but only pathetic attempts to create chances in the box. Osula heads the ball like a girl. Most of the crosses were atrocious. The worst game of the season. What a shame. -

For me, this was the worst game of the season. The substitutions immediately after halftime also made no sense to me.
