  1. Jordan Pickford is the worst player to be considered great. He's either done that on purpose or he's shit
  2. Sky Bet not remotely positive about Hearts pulling it off. Barely worth the emotional hedge.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Eddie talks shite for fun on all things transfers. He's a known liar. Not necessarily a bad thing, but he might as well be a Twitter ITK.
  4. They're just very good/tough negotiators, and they're already in a position of strength to get something close to their preferred fee because the player wants to join them.
  5. Why does it have to be Bayern, ffs - they don't NEED him, they got everything they wanted out of Levy in the end for Kane, and showed last year with Wolte that they won't do anything that isn't on their own terms. This deal is a big test for the new management.
  6. Eddie never said he threw the away PL fixture at Liverpool last season, but he did allude to deliberately saving certain tactics for the cup final in an effort to wrongfoot Slot. If Liverpool spied our preparation for Wembley, the result might have been very different. That's how I'm looking at it. Strict punishment is needed.
  7. Palace must have offered him a fucking fortune. It's probably as simple as that.
  8. I think we'll win this by a scoreline that will ultimately flatter us when West Ham need to go for it in the second half. 3-0. I don't want to lose, but I also understand why people aren't bothered if we do. I'd like to finish above Sunderland. I don't want to be defined by them but it would still be quite funny if we finish higher, given how happy they should be with the campaign and how miserable we all are.
  9. I'd like to know how many games we've played at least one player out of their preferred position. Feels preposterous (and desperate/irrational). He's done this from the very start of the season. A few examples: Gordon CF Burn LB Woltemade CM Barnes RW Hall RB Murphy RWB Any more? The disastrous first half at home to Everton was the nadir of a staggering pattern. It's all a bit "might as well" from such a supposedly methodical thinker.
  10. Can't wait to see the back of that little cunt Bernardo Silva

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I'm a completely transfer obsessed rube who for my sins refreshed Burnsie to the point of blistering my fingers last summer, and even I can't get excited about a GK link even though it's the single most important and transformative signing we must make this summer.
  12. An irrational football cliché is the only reason I'm not dreading this, but when a mid table-ish team goes on a run like Forest, it sometimes ends in a rout. When we won six on the spin last season, Bournemouth turned us over 1-4 at SJP. These look ferocious like. Hoping Thurs goes to pens.

That Asics blue away kit was fucking magic man, would never happen but an Adidas trefoil reworking of that is the dream
  14. Some of the prospective fees I'm seeing blow my mind. He HAS to be worth a minimum of 80M whether you agree with the way the market works or not. Even the more surface-level attributes (England int'l, pen-heavy G/A record) should work in our favour. Have to hope that Arsenal or Liverpool come in for him because Barca are a financial mess and Bayern, who don't NEED him, are very happy to haggle for months on end. They took ages to get the Kane deal done and refused to budge in their Woltemade chase.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

In the dreaded zone of believing literally any transfer rumour. Hopkinson's words don't align with a push for Jones, but Eddie's rep, fairly earned or otherwise, lends credence to it. We'll only know the recruitment philosophy when the first concrete link drops.
  16. Every time I feel a strong Howe Out twinge, and it's happened a lot, I think of this cunt and I hope we give Eddie the summer. Absolutely delighted that his groin has more attachment issues than a neglected rehomed pet.

    Jacob Murphy

Not to kick the guy when he's down, but Elanga has been a FUCKER for that this season.
  18. I had a soft spot for the prick as well, probably for "shut your noise you fucking old cunt" alone. That and the first five months with Cisse I suppose
  19. This man is an enigma. I once described him to a mate as 95% shite, 5% Brazilian Ronaldo. The ratio has improved in recent weeks, but he's still too prone to errors you'll never see a top pro make. Skying it at the near post is the telltale sign. If nothing else, this run is much-needed evidence that Howe can still improve players, and we're surely fetching 40m for him instead of the 30m (?) we almost took from Frankfurt.
  20. That isn't a bench, it's a season-defining narrative.
  21. Lewis Hall pocketed Lamine Yamal 52 days ago. We've been shite for longer than 52 days in a season during which Hall's only competition for best player is Bruno. This shit on top of the "Dan has never let us down in that position" quote...Howe is making it very, very difficult to get behind him.

    Yoane Wissa

I wonder if any journo will ever ask Eddie how he intends to adapt if he ever manages to get us in Europe again. All season long, he has treated the Champions League - the ultimate objective - as an excuse, or even worse, an inconvenience. Is he even aware that he's telling on himself a bit?
  23. Rice playing centre back. Arteta makes George Graham look like Big Ange

    Nick Woltemade

I've thought for a while that Howe should study this Bayern team. We obviously don't have an Olise or a Diaz, and Wolte is no Kane (yet), but there's obviously a way of playing a less-than-mobile striker at the highest level of the intense modern game. Maybe it's nowhere near as simple as that.
