Nicky
Emre won't start, and I can't see Martins or Smith being dropped yet.

Yorkie
http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=44475.0 I couldn't really understand it either. Can someone put a poll into this thread - like we've done for Bolton and for Villa? Like, with every member of the squad in it; pick your team, type-thing. Luc
I can't see us losing this. We should be able to get two in at least, considering their defence.
ChezGiven
If we do better than Blackburn tonight, it'll take us third. I feel more confident about than i did against Villa but the unconvincing performance last week still worries me.

Howaythelads
I'd like to see 4-4-2 and an end to square pegs in round holes, eg Smith is not a midfielder.
Dave
Do you rate Smith up front HTL?

JH
Schwarzer Davies Riggott Wheater Hines Tuncay Boateng Arca Downing Aliadiere Mido (fitness dependent) Apparently. If that forward line scores more than Martins/Owen and Viduka, I'll begin to listen to people who say we're still shit

Howaythelads
Do you rate Smith up front HTL? Aye, his problem is he never gets an extended run there, 'cos he's "versatile" apparently. To me, we have 4 strikers now, Viduka, Smith, Owen and Martins. Perm Viduka/Smith with Owen/Martins if all are fit is how I'd like to see it work. Keefaz
'Nah, seriously, that's his real name!' 'And who else is partnering him?' 'New signing from Cameroon: Golliwog Mpepsi'
Dave
Don't forget Ameobi! Agree though, I don't think Smith offers us anything in the midfield apart from steel in emergencies. I'd like to see Smith and Owen given a lengthy go. Perhaps January when Martins disappears for the ACN will be when we see it.
McCormick
i always like having smith in the team.. especially away where his ferocity will be needed
ohmelads
I'd prefer 4-4-2, but I think it'll be 4-3-3 with the same team as against Villa and Bolton. He still probably has another week in which to say Owen isn't fully fit, but when he is it'll pose a real dilemma about our regular formation. I'm all for versatility, but we can't switch the formation every week, I've never seen any side who do that and for obvious reasons. He'll need to get to know his best team and formation fairly soon, he's used 4-3-3 his entire career so I think he's gearing us up for that but I have to say I think it won't get the best out of our best players. Guest goal!
Harper Taylor Cacapa Rozenhal Carr Milner Geremi Butt N'Zogbia Martins Viduka Think that team just about picks itself. With Emre, Owen & Smith coming on from the bench unless any injuries. No doubt SA will go 4-3-3 though and play: Harper Carr Taylor Rozenhal N'Zogbia Smith Geremi Butt Martins Viduka Milner
Willow
Sorry if its been mentioned but is Enrique starting this match? Has Sam mentioned him at all? Really want to see him play and get stuck in like a bull
Yorkie
Sorry if its been mentioned but is Enrique starting this match? Has Sam mentioned him at all? Really want to see him play and get stuck in like a bull Barnsley unless injury to N'Zogbia. And there's no reason to drop Zoggy either; he's doing a decent job. Needs to figure out what the hell to do with it once he's in the final third, like, but he's done a good job so far. He'll handle Tuncay.
